Template messages can be quite impersonal so I will add my own personal plea that you please stop with your sloppy and disruptive editing such as 1) making questionable substantive changes without explaining them (e.g. removing Penn State's pre-Big 10 hockey record without removing other teams' pre-Big 10 hockey records, see here ); 2) stop removing legitimate, non-redudant sources for no stated reason, see here, and 3) making edits that create confusion within an article by causing it not to match up to itself, see here. I think it is self-evidenct why edits like that are problematic but if you would like to discuss any of them, I would be happy to. On the other hand, if you continue, and particularly if you continue in them without discussion, the odds are high that you will simply be blocked again - and this time for a longer period. Thanks. A similar problematic edit is changing the "first year" of the AP Poll in the Pac 12 article to 1936 when the AP poll article notes that the first AP poll was published in 1934. Link. Why do you persist in making sloppy, wrong edits like this one? The streak is the second longest in college football. Second longest, not third. Link to "John Walker" dab[edit]

Your edit, wikilinking Michigan football player John Walker to a page listing a couple score of people also named "John Walker" is not helpful, and in fact makes things worse than no link at all. A person seeing the blue link would click on it and be taken to a page with a confusing plethora of "John Walkers", and have no idea whether any of them is the one he's looking for. Addition of unsourced material[edit]

I've just reverted a couple of edits you made to List of Big Ten Conference national championships, in which you changed the figures there to match championships "claimed" by the schools. You need sources for edits like that - if a school "claims" 32 championships instead of - say, 37 - provide a link to the claim. Otherwise 1) other editors can only take your word for it and 2) in a year or two there's no way of checking to see if the number should be any different. I have commented to you before on this. You must provide reliable sources for your edits, particularly ones that change specific figures or other detailed information in articles. Thanks. Recently you made an edit to Ohio State Buckeyes football in which you, among other things, changed the name of the coach of the year trophy, the number of times Woody Hayes had won it, and the school's ranking in number conference titles. Hi Wkoppel. You seem to be an active editor of Big Ten-related content. Your edits would be even more impactful if paired with citations where appropriate. Not sure if this is obvious to you or not, but your (recent) edit history has some examples of content changes where a citation would be very helpful to the reader. While your edits might be entirely correct (they're beyond my understanding of the specific content), they are even better when paired with verifiable sources. See WP:Cite and WP:V. This kind of mistake is also frequently the result of slipshod, hasty editing wherein the editor does not take the time to check that his edits actually accomplish what he intends them to. I have asked you repeatedly in the past to pay attention to your edits to ensure that they do not introduce misinformation into articles. With this edit, you changed the Michigan Wolverine's no-shutout streak to an incorrect number, removed an explanatory footnote, mischaracterized the edit in your edit summary - and did not comment on the article's Talk page, where the very issue had been thoroughly discussed previously. January 2015 - please stop making unsourced and incorrect edits[edit]

Please check your sources before you make edits. Here, you changed the total number of Michigan championships from 36 to 34 when the NCAA itself lists Michigan as having 36. NCAA source. Again God only knows what kind of misinformation you're inserting into the encyclopedia - I am tempted to begin reverting your unsourced edits on sight. I notice that various editors have been trying to engage you with good faith editing advice.
