Farlands Booth[edit]

Hi there – just a query about your edit to Hayfield. I'm local, and as far as I understand, Farlands and Booth are two separate farms; I've never heard them lumped together in this way (and even if they are, I'm not sure it deserves such a prominent mention in the lead of the Hayfield article). Thanks for your reply on my talk page. It looks like the original mistake may have been the Ordnance Survey's (if you look at the 1:25000 map the true situation is more obvious) and I suspect the other sites that refer to "Farlands Booth" may have used an OS gazetteer. It's a fair point about Kinder Scout – I've added a reference in the lead of the Hayfield article, although it's mentioned later. I've also removed Farlands from the Derbyshire list - there are lots of similar farms here and elsewhere that aren't mentioned so I'm not sure why it was there in the first place. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
