Correct indentation on talk pages[edit]

Hello. I've added a comment about it on Talk:Vikings, but wanted to make sure you read it, because your repeated changes to my talk page indentation (the colons added before the text) irritates me. Read Wikipedia:Indentation, and do as it says, which happens to be the way I do it, and stop messing with my indentation. Thomas.W ^talk 14:15, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The 'welcome' lectures are not necessary, however well intentioned they might be. On indentation I do what appears to work best and is good practice as I see done by other users. I cannot guarantee to do everything by the Wikipedia manual - I'd need a PhD in that to get everything 'right'. This does raise a more important point however - it is well known that Wikipedia contributions are declining as established users who are 'really into it' are putting other contributors off by effectively requiring a Wikipedia 'pilot's license' before he/she is made to feel properly welcome. Content suffers as a result. If I am doing something appallingly wrong, politely ask someone else to raise it with me, as I am not receptive to bossy 'do not' comments. I see that Thomas had a hissy fit since then and quit wikipedia. I too have had wikipedians try to turn me off from wikipedia by going nuts over small typos. I think in 99% of those cases they are really just mad at themselves for other reasons and look to take it out on people on the internet aka, they are a troll. ignore em. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Popish Plot. I have found that it isn't just typos and procedural 'errors' that irritate such people - they also don't take well to having their opinions undermined (often by those pesky things called facts) and so procedural 'perfection' may be used as a defence tactic. It is possible that 'Thomas' has just passed away...quite a few of the more obsessive contributors are retirees of advanced years (so have the time). Stockholm Metro art stations[edit]

I have inserted mention in the two articles covering the Stockholm Metro system ('Stockholm Public Transport' and 'Stockholm Metro') of the remarkable and permanent art installations that are all over the system. I am surprised that no mention was inserted previously, as this makes the system particularly special. If other contributors want to expand on what I have done, then that would be most welcome. Perhaps a suitable picture or two could be inserted, as it really is a visual feast (I am new here and haven't got to inserting pictures myself yet). The reference I used is http://twistedsifter.com/2012/05/stockholm-metro-worlds-longest-art-gallery/, which seems good to me, but perhaps another one would be better. Hi. Saw your post, while I was here for other reasons and wanted to share my experiences: Be careful about the FOP (Freedom of Panorama) rules Wikifiveoh. I have uploaded several pictures from Denmark for example, depicting murals, sculptures and statues in the public space. In Denmark there is only FOP of buildings and not works of art apparently, so nearly everything got deleted! Pretty depressing. Try researching about the FOP rules of Sweden, before uploading pictures of art. You can also try asking User:Túrelio for example. Great link btw, Ive never been there, looks impressive!
