Ed Book height

Hi. Just wanted to bring this here. I see you reverted my edit at Ed Book without explanation despite my attempts to make it clear in my edit summaries that there is no source for the height you are claiming and without a source, your content falls under original research, which is prohibited on Wikipedia. Wikipedia relies on reliable, established sources. Basketball New Zealand listed him as 210 cm [1], as did New Zealand Olympics [2]. Sports-Reference [3] listed him as 6'11". The height field as actually specifically Listed height, not true height. I want to avoid further edit warring so I would really like a response from you here. I would like you to reconsider your revert based on me reaching out in good faith here. Thank you. DaHuzyBru (talk) 12:33, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply, but you have not addressed my concerns. Is there a source online to support 2.13m? An edit simply cannot be based on "your knowledge". It needs to be verifiable. Please elaborate. DaHuzyBru (talk) 13:38, 24 March 2022 (UTC)

@DaHuzyBru the source is from Ed Book himself since I actually know Ed Book myself and he is where I get my information from Westburn World (talk) 11:58, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

How can you verify that? How can I or anyone else know what you are saying is true? I have linked this before, but please have a read of Wikipedia:No original research. There is no reliable, published source for that height. If it can't be verified, we can't have it on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not the place for Righting great wrongs. I have also noted this to you before, but the infobox field is Listed height, not true height. He is not listed as 213cm online, simple as that. DaHuzyBru (talk) 13:01, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Let me explain, as this is probably frustrating. Wikipedia is first and foremost an encyclopedia, which means we must have substantial text which accompanies images, to place them into context. For an example of that, see Road signs in the United Kingdom. Substantial paragraphs of text are interspersed with appropriate images.

Here's my recommendation: Write 400 words on street lights in NZ, sourced to at least two distinct sources. Try [4] and [5]. Then start adding images. Cheers, Ovinus (talk) 06:44, 25 September 2022 (UTC)
