Creating a new account[edit]

I'd just create an account de novo, and on my user and/or talk pages say, "I used to have an account known as User:Truthwillneverdie, but have created this new account under this name, since some folks felt the name was inappropriate, and I saw their point." Then change the old account's pages to redirects: i.e., User:Truthwillneverdie becomes a redirect to User:MyBrandNewUsername and likewise for the talk page. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:30, 2 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Mike. Looks like I do that with #REDIRECT User:MyBrandNewUsername. I will give this all a try when I get some time.
