| Guild of Copy Editors January 2011 backlog elimination drive
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors January 2011 Backlog elimination drive! The drive is halfway over, so here are some mid-drive stats. 
 So far, 43 people have signed up for this drive. Of these, 25 have participated. If you signed up for the drive but haven't participated yet, it's not too late! Try to copy edit at least a few articles. Remember, if you have rollover words from the last drive, you will lose them if you do not participate in this drive. If you haven't signed up for the drive yet, you can sign up now.
We have eliminated two months from the backlog – January and February 2009. One of our goals is to eliminate as many months as possible from the 2009 backlog. Please help us reduce the size of this part of the backlog if you haven't already. Another goal is to reduce the entire backlog by 10%, or by 515 articles. Currently, we have eliminated 375 articles from the queue, so if each participant copy edits four more articles, we will reach that goal. Thank you for participating in the January 2011 drive. - When people are doing things the right way, you can learn a lot of good stuff from Wikipedia. :) Did you enjoy reading the Forgotten Realms article? I did most of the work to get that one to GA, and learned a lot in the process. Ed created the Realms several years before D&D was even thought of, so it's actually older than Greyhawk! RE: KMFDM talk page history template
Well, the template {{Featured article candidates}} states it "Do not manually update the {{ArticleHistory}} template when the FAC closes." The FAC of KMFDM has not been closed yet so it is unneeded to archive its nomination. And for the other question, the bot do it all by itself, it knows it depending if the page is listed here or here. Tbhotch* ۩ ۞ 23:18, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
- No, it is not right. If you read Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/archiving at bottom is written "Editors will know if the article was kept or delisted by checking the archive; the {{featured article review}} template should remain in place until the bot processes the close and adds the event to {{articlehistory}}." You only will make the bot confuses itself; futhermore adding it won't make anything special, only will make the page appears at Category:ArticleHistory error, where I found the page. Hi there. I have a problem, and I'm hoping you can help me with it. The image File:Kmfdm jules starlite.jpg that you uploaded a few years ago doesn't quite have a clear explanation that it is released into the public domain. Are you Mike Kendrick, the photographer who actually took the photo? I need to clear up its usage permissions for the KMFDM article, which I'm trying to promote to featured status. - Ok... You would probably need to find out the original uploader who uploaded it to English Wikipedia. Since the original file is now deleted I guess you have to be an admin to check the history of it. I hope this helps. // Liftarn (talk)

Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

LaRouche
Re the RfC, I've trawled through Google Scholar and brought up some academic sources that call LaRouche an economist, in addition to the various media sources that were already listed. Have a look at them, and see if they change your mind, or not. I tried to avoid the ones that I know are LaRouche's own publications.
Let me add that I'm not a particular LaRouche fan. But if the man and his views have the ear of various foreign governments, notwithstanding his lousy standing in the US, then I believe we shouldn't minimise that, and give the reader the impression that he is nothing but an inconsequential local cult leader. Sorry to bother you again. I had resigned myself to the likely outcome of the RfC, and removed the economist label, but now see that LaRouche, under the pen name Lyn Marcus, authored a book, Dialectical economics : an introduction to Marxist political economy (1975) (entry at archive.org), published by D. C. Heath and Company (Lexington, Massachusetts), which was reviewed[1] in the American Economic Review, published by the American Economic Association.
The book has citations in Google Scholar and in Google Books.
To my mind, this changes things, and I feel less happy to let the matter drop. Surely, having your work reviewed in the American Economic Review, which according to our article on it is one of the most prestigious journals in the field, counts for something. Add to that the fact that he was considered quite an important economist by various Latin American governments, according to reliable sources, and I feel uncomfortable not calling him an economist. Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors March 2011 Backlog elimination drive! Here is your mid-drive newsletter.
 So far, 79 people have signed up for this drive. Of these, 64 have participated. Interest is high due to a link to our event from the Watchlist page, and many new and first-time copy editors have joined us for the drive. If you signed up for the drive but haven't participated yet, it's not too late! Try to copy edit at least a few articles. Remember, if you have rollover words from the last drive, you will lose them if you do not participate in this drive. If you haven't signed up for the drive yet, you can sign up now. Many thanks to those editors who have been helping out at the Requests page. We have assisted in the promotion of seven articles to Good article status so far this month.
We have already achieved our target of reducing the overall backlog by 10%; however, we have more work to do with the 2009 backlog. We have almost eliminated May 2009 and we only have some 700 articles left from 2009. It is excellent progress, so let's concentrate our fire power on the remaining months from 2009. Hello. I saw your recent post in the AfD for Friday. I'm trying to get opinions for what to do with the page for the record label. It appears that the original page was Ark Music Factory, which was deleted. Then it was recreated with all three letters of ARK being capitalized and that is how it stands today. If this subject is to stay notable, should we recreate the original page and move content over to there? Or is that just creating a notability debate nightmare? Hi - Congrats on your new role !
As you seem to be somewhat related to the D&D project I thought I would let you know of a discussion I have started on italicising at MoS text formatting. The subject is a bit more complex than just the individual projects, as I am coming across many uses of italics which are not covered by individual projects style guides.

I would restore the trees Guinness bit, but to the DSS article
Greetings, I'd submit the Guinness record for tree planting is still notable (but for the DSS article, not Singh's). Even if the record has been broken (also worth noting) it was impressive at the time, and is a clearly-documented and quantifiable accomplishment. Please note also I've suggested some references on the Discussion page for DSS; there's some good coverage of political agendas, Dalit issues, etc. that would help balance the over-laudatory DSS article. The refs I mention have some really intriguing stuff (not necessarily negative, just political machinations) that I'd love to add, particularly as Dalit conversion issues are of interest to me. KMFDM PR
When the article returns to FAC there will be an image review - it is not clear to me that an image review was done in the first FAC (so it might not have been commented on because the FAC closed before an image review was done). I would carefully read WP:NFCC and see if you think the cover art meets all the requirements or not.
I have taken lots of photos and made many maps for use here, but have never uploaded a sound file. Perhaps Wikipedia:Media help is a place to start (the tabs at top are to more detailed help). Wikipedia:Creation and usage of media files also looks useful. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 03:40, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

| Guild of Copy Editors March 2011 backlog elimination drive report
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors March 2011 Backlog elimination drive. Thank you for participating in the March 2011 drive! This newsletter summarizes the March drive and other recent events.
There were 99 signups for the drive; of these, 70 participated. Interest was high mainly due to a link to our event from the Watchlist page. We had a record-breaking 84 articles listed on the Requests page in March; 11 of these have been promoted to Good article status so far. Several of our recent efforts have received Featured Article status as well, and the GOCE is becoming a solid resource for the Wikipedia community. Many thanks to editors who have been helping out at the Requests page and by copy editing articles from the backlog.
Remarkable progress was made in reducing the backlog this month, as we now have fewer than 500 articles remaining from 2009. We are well under the 4,000-article mark for the total number remaining in the queue. Since our backlog drives began in May 2010 with 8,323 articles, we have cleared more than 53% of the backlog. A complete list of results and barnstars awarded can be found here. Barnstars will be distributed over the next week. If you enjoyed participating in our event, you may also like to join the Wikification drives, which are held on alternate months to our drives. Their April drive has started.
On March 21, SMasters appointed Chaosdruid (talk) and Torchiest (talk) as Guild coordinators to serve in place of The Utahraptor, who recently stepped down. Thank you for your participation in the March 2011 GAN backlog elimination drive
On behalf of User:Wizardman and myself, we would like to take the time and thank you for your contributions made as part of the March 2011 Good articles backlog elimination drive. Awards and barnstars will go out shortly for those who have reviewed a certain number of articles.
During the backlog drive, in the month of March 2011,
- 522 GA nominations were undertaken.
- 423 GA nominations passed.
- 72 GA nominations failed.
- 27 GA nominations were on hold.
We started the GA backlog elimination drive with 378 GA nominations remaining, with 291 that were not reviewed at all. By 2:00, April 1, 2011, the backlog was at 171 GA nominations, with 100 that were left unreviewed.
At the start of the drive, the oldest unreviewed GA nomination was 101 days (Andrei Kirilenko (politician), at 20 November 2010, reviewed and passed 1 March 2011); at the end of the drive the oldest unreviewed GA nomination was 39 days (Gery Chico, at 24 February 2011, still yet to be reviewed as of this posting).
While we did not achieve the objective of getting the backlog of outstanding GA nominations down to below 50, we reduced the GA backlog by over half. The GA reviews also seemed to be of a higher quality and have consistently led, to say the least, to marginal improvements to those articles (although there were significant improvements to many, even on the some of the nominations that were failed).
If you would like to comment on the drive itself and maybe even make suggestions on how to improve the next one, please make a comment at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Good articles/GAN backlog elimination drives/March 2011#Feedback. Another GA backlog elimination drive is being planned for later this year, tentatively for September or October 2011. Also, if you have any comments or remarks on how to improve the Good article process in general, Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles can always use some feedback at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Good articles.

Looks fine, only comment is the copy and paste - it needs a few modifications after pasting so may be better to use a "no wikis" and "brs" version. I have done one for you here User:Chaosdruid/sandbox1.
