Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Sky-Watch. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. Annh07 (talk) 18:00, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you the information. I have not tried to work with Wikipedia before and my intention was not to do advertising but simply to update the information on the page. There is a new management team in the company, we do not have the products mentioned anymore and we have different ownership, size of company is different ect. So as it stands it is not correct in any of the three languages on the page. If I cannot change it to reflect the correct information can I have the pages deleted instead? - Your intention may not have been to add advertising, but the content you added cannot be interpreted as anything else but. Since, based on your username, you have an apparent conflict of interest with the company, you are encouraged not to make edits directly to the page, but rather to make edit requests at the article's talk page. There you can indicate what specific information is wrong, and what information you'd like to add or replace it with. - My choice of username was made to ensure transparency regarding my affiliation. I understand how the product description can be seen in a different light than intended. However, I am not sure how correcting the names of the management team, the size of the company, the products we currently sell, as well as updating to the correct website link, constitutes a conflict of interest. - Your edits were reverted as a whole. The individual changes you've mentioned are certainly non-controversial (if they can be verified from reliable sources).
