Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Theroadislong (talk) 22:24, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Given the content of your draft, reading the conflict of interest guide is definitely one of the first things you should do, just to get an idea of what is or isn't allowed. 57.140.16.1 (talk) 22:32, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Was this intended for me, based on Susana Tubert/sandbox guide? SusanaTubert (talk) 22:34, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yep. Your username is SusanaTubert, you're writing about Susana Tubert - the assumption is that you are Susana Tubert, writing an autobiography. If you're not, you should change your username. 57.140.16.1 (talk) 22:39, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it's me. LOL. It's just that I was chatting with someone on a different topic in a different thread so this took me by surprise. Not sure if you're the same person or not. I'm reading through the topics you sent me and so far it's all about formatting and not about conflict of interest. Could you kindly share with me a little about where I erred in the content? Or am I linking too much to the source material...? Thanks for your help! I appreciate any and all feedback this being my first time on Wikipedia. SusanaTubert (talk) 22:44, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm the same IP editor from the Teahouse, yes (but I'm not Theroadislong, who left you the welcome message above - at least I wasn't last time I checked). Writing an autobiography is tough, especially for a new editor; I've never seen it succeed. Be prepared for quite a learning curve! 57.140.16.1 (talk) 23:29, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at User:SusanaTubert/sandbox. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Notable people who have edited Wikipedia). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 22:35, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ah! I just discovered what you wrote above. Okay. I'll educate myself and revise the content. SusanaTubert (talk) 22:46, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Anything you submit will be edited mercilessly to make it neutral. Many autobiographical articles have become a source of dismay to their original authors after a period of editing by the community, and in several instances their original authors have asked that they be deleted – usually unsuccessfully, because if an article qualifies for deletion the community will typically do that without prompting, and an article won't be deleted just because its subject is unhappy with it. If you really think that you can meet the inclusion criteria, and if you are willing to accept that your article must be neutral and non-promotional, then propose one at Articles for Creation instead of creating one directly. Articles for Creation provides independent viewpoints that may uncover or discover biases you were unaware of, and shows you value volunteer editors' time over your own ego.
