Welcome![edit]

Hello, SunRey451, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hi Ian! Thanks for reaching out. I definitely need some support. I just received a message that my IP address is blocked. I just posted two requests for review, but I'm not entirely sure I did them correctly. Do you have any tips? I'm also not sure why I was blocked. SunRey451 (talk) 02:23, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

IP Address Blocked[edit]

rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have no idea why my IP address was blocked. My conduct is not connected in any way with the block. I am doing a school project and I need to be able to continue editing my page. SunRey451 (talk) 02:14, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I can't do anything about this request because, as you noted, this account is not blocked. So, nothing to unblock. Without knowing your IP address I can't do anymore except recommend you edit for the time being from a different device or go to WP:IPECPROXY and request IP block exemption using the process there. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:45, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Autoblocked[edit]

This blocked user's request to have autoblock on their IP address lifted has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request.

Decline reason: per above. But even if that weren't there, this is a badly malformed request. — Daniel Case (talk) 06:46, 26 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicate sources[edit]

Hi! You're introducing a bunch of duplicate sources on Dark Horse Comics (such as Gustines, George Gene (2006-11-12). "A Quirky Superhero of the Comics Trade". The New York Times. ISSN 0362-4331. Retrieved 2022-04-24.). Sariel Xilo (talk) 22:40, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oh! Sorry about that I'll try to fix it. Super new to this. Please let me know if anything else is messed up and feel free to change anything back. Thanks for the head up! SunRey451 (talk) 22:42, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It would be super helpful if you went back through the sources and removed any duplication you introduced. Like in Dark Horse Comics#Origins, you can see I removed the duplication of Lavin (see Old revision of Dark Horse Comics) but you've duplicated that source throughout the article (I think it is listed as 12 separate sources). Sariel Xilo (talk) 22:56, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Yes sounds good. I've gone through what I've added so far and fixed it, but as I'm editing, there seems to be a few duplicates already in there that I can fix too. I'll make sure they don't keep duplicating though. SunRey451 (talk) 23:00, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I found what you were talking about and fixed everything I could find. Thanks again for pointing that out! Let me know if you see any others. SunRey451 (talk) 23:21, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
