Halff Associates, Inc.[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles, as you did to Halff Associates, Inc.. Tag removed. Hope you haven't been discouraged from continuing to improve the article. We get a lot of articles that are pure advertising and aren't ever going to improve. Sorry, I wasn't involved in the 22 Jan 2009 speedy deletion of this page, but Orangemike was. Maybe leave a message on his talk page.

In the meantime, there's no rule against submitting an improved version of the article. Two tips on avoiding another speedy deletion: write in a concise and informative tone that doesn't look like advertising, and include a reason why Halff is notable (such as the big flood study Halff is doing for FEMA). I'm taking a course in environmental geology this semester -- maybe include some facts about Halff that might be of interest to a student or environmental professional doing research about environmental consulting firms. Once you've got those basics, try to add references (which may be direct HTML links) to neutral third party coverage (good or bad) of Halff, especially references that back up the article's claim to notability. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Halff.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Halff.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
