Re: Consolidating the debates

Hey, Good call on that. Could I get a hand with putting them together? Also, I'd like to put them into three "piles", as there are a bunch that are just unsourced, period, while there are another batch that are how-to guide-esque.Tyrenon (talk) 05:30, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Here you go: Group A (No Sources): Ryo Te Tori

Akushu Kote Tori, Akushu Ude Tori, Akushu Kotemaki Tori, Mizu Kuguri, Mae Yama Kage, Norimi, Shidare Fuji Shime, Momo Jime, Ashi Garami Jime, Daki Kubi Jime, Ichimonji Shime, Juji Gatame, Uchi Gama, Emon Tori, Katate Hazushi Ichi, Yubi Tori, Moro Yubi Tori

Group B (Not How-To):

Sasae tsurikomi ashi, Okuriashi harai, Kouchi gari, Tsurikomi goshi, Uki otoshi, Soto makikomi, Kane sute, O goshi, Deashi harai, Ushiro goshi, Tai otoshi, Kata guruma

Group C (Generic):

Uchi mata, Utsuri goshi, Seoi nage, Harai goshi, Hane goshi, Yama arashi, Tomoe nage, Ippon seoi nage, Elevator Sweep, Morote gari, Ō guruma, Katate Hazushi Ni, Ryote Hazushi, Morote Hazushi, Momiji Hazushi, Ryoeri Hazushi, Yubi Tori Hazushi

Apologies if the format here is awkward, and thanks for the help.Tyrenon (talk) 05:46, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Hmm...any suggestions on who to contact? And...I wouldn't object to sacking the mass of nominations and just reintroducing the whole mess on a certain level; I just really don't want to relist all 48 or so articles.Tyrenon (talk) 05:57, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Well, I contacted an admin who was very little help. I've re-ordered the articles; now, I just need to figure out how to compress all of them down into a handful.Tyrenon (talk) 06:43, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Blue Goose Inn

Here is the Social Sciences requests, before I removed the Blue Goose Inn:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Requested_articles/Social_sciences&oldid=294752313

I would like to make the note that I cannot find any page that links to it and I have no personal tie to this article at all. I was just bored and flipping through the requests for something easy to start on, so if you guys feel its irrelevant, its not like, obviously, I threw alot of time into it and I have no defense of its existance. Personally, I dont really think it should be there. But I will leave that up to you guys. CeleritasSoni (talk) 07:40, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Power Clean

Just a heads up. You tagged Power Clean for G3, which should only be used for vandalism. The article in question, however was unambiguous advertising, and a better tag would've been G11. Thanks, --Patar knight - chat/contributions 21:11, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism

My apologies for the confusion; has the vandalism been fixed? Keilana|Parlez ici 23:20, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Ah, gotcha, it's no big deal. Thanks! Keilana|Parlez ici 23:22, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Ken Wahl page

You removed the link I posted to the actual lawsuit Ken Wahl vs Harry Levine et al. That is copy/paste of the actual amended lawsuit. None of the articles about the lawsuit go into the details which are important. Why did you remove the link? I just spent 20 minutes reading what links are allowed and don't understand why you removed it. It provides more detail, will always be a live link, is copy/paste of the actual lawsuit... Thanks. KenWahlFan (talk) 18:47, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

I uploaded the actual pdf of the lawsuit. His wife Corinne is indeed a defendant in the lawsuit. The lawsuit is signed. I'm responding to your comment on her page.KenWahlFan (talk) 23:18, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

I did what you said and uploaded a pdf of the lawsuit. Why is it not acceptable? I can't link to lasuperiorcourt.org because people would have to log in and buy the file. If I have TMZ put the pdf of the lawsuit on their server, can I link to it then? And his ex-wife is definitely a defendant. Why do you keep removing that? If someone writes an article about this legal filing, can I then link to that? You'd think the actual lawsuit would be more important than an article about it. Point is noted. No extra link would be added to the article now. Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amitagagwani (talkcontribs) 09:33, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks a lot. But Tinuchrian prodded it for CSD, and it was declined..

Bludgeoned with a glass bottle...?

Hoo boy, get out the hip boots.  :) Somehow, I doubt the existence of any 19th Century individual with a Roman name like that. Thanks for the alert. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:32, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Oleg Voronin

It seems this is a vandalism target. He is claimed to be the one of richest in Moldova, so A7 will not apply. This comes from the WP:AFC project, which is why my name is on it even though I did not write it originally. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 02:56, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Rafael Guillén

Hi. Thanks for the heads-up on the copyright problem at Rafael Guillén, but I think your notice was misplaced. I didn't introduce any copyrighted material to the article: if you'd consulted the edit history properly, you'd have seen that that material was added by User:Magicjah, and your warning would have been better directed to his talkpage rather than mine. In any case, I've deleted the article and replaced it with a clean stub. But it would be helpful if you would read edit histories more fully in future. --Nick Boalch\talk 08:52, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

D3 Security Management Systems notability requirements

Please advise of additional notability requirements you believe would justify the removal of the deletion / merge warning? I believe the insertion of 3 references (including unsolicited Gartner analyst research) suffices. Will follow your direction. Many thanks.

D3 Security Management Systems notability requirements

Many thanks for the feedback. I will add additional. For the Gartner link, I logged out of Gartner, and it shows a broken link. I believe the issue is similar to NY Times, the article may be accessed upon registration (Gartner just doesn't have a the clean - register to gain access prompt). Otherwise, duly noted. Thank you!

Netscribes: Multiple Links on the article leading to the website

The multiple links were added because of ignorance related to the issue. No such links would be added now. History section is still being worked upon and would be uploaded soon. Branding and logo has been changed to visual identity, which again just describes the logo. No intent of promotion is seeked. Internal links have been added to add more value to the article. --Amitagagwani (talk) 11:38, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Sitar spam

I had reverted the spamming by the user on several articles (see his/her talk page). On this one I saw there was more spam not yet reverted so I thought I'd just take the content from an earlier revision not edited by the spammer. I notice now the person has spammed earlier under an IP number, so there was stuff left over that was reverted earlier. Should be fixed now. Hekerui (talk) 21:50, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

I smell Spam...

..and I'm out of eggs.  :) Looks like it may be notable, but I sense an off-wiki conspiracy here to try and get this included. I'm not de facto against an article, but I do suspect some foul play. Thanks for letting me know. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 05:41, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Read you loud and clear. My spider sense is definitely tingling and I've weighed in as such. I gave it a kind of weak delete because of my suspicions. Something is definitely rotten in the state of Denmark. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 05:45, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Lauren Bernat

That has got to be WP:BLP1E. I don't care how many people watched it.......8 million and one now (I just watched it) and I bet 7,999,900 don't even know her name. Even with the two reliable sources, it's still 1 event. Niteshift36 (talk) 16:37, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

I have hit a problem (partly because the IMDb can't be relied upon) and want to avoid confusing this article. It may be that two (or maybe three) articles on various Manjulas are needed! Please could you take a look at the talk page and let me know what you think?  pablohablo. 11:49, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

re DE governors

I don't see the point either; anyone desperately in need of an alphabetized list can use the category. And the problem here is the rowspans; last I checked, having those breaks the resortability. So we'd have to either combine the Lt Govs into a single cell, or have multiple rows for governors with more than one Lt Gov. --Golbez (talk) 16:28, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Raut

Yes, spot on. Having checked her cricinfo profile and the page history for the template, I can only presume I didn't link it as she hadn't made her debut for India at the time (and hence wasn't technically entitled to an article...). Well spotted though! --AMBerry (talk) 22:33, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Welcome the the Article Rescue Squad!

Here to help articles tagged for rescue!

Hi, SpacemanSpiff/Archives/2009, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you.

And once again - Welcome! -- Banjeboi 00:40, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

AFD

Thanks for closing it. I was about to do the same thing. Cheers SparksBoy (talk) 19:11, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

All cleaned up

Between the vandalism to your talk page, the meatpuppet on the AfD and the bogus blog page, I brought an end to the idiocy. The article is deleted and salted to perfection, the IP is taking a two-week time out for vandalizing your talk page and the main account is blocked. No shortage of idiocy on the interwebs, no?  :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:22, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Good catch. That happens, but it's rare since most vandals and hoaxers aren't as clever as the one who posted the hoaxes you found. This "Poole" thing was just a bald-faced lie, combining a French first name with a Saxon last name. "Stephanie Poole" was either the author of the idiocy in the first place or the name of someone's girlfriend. What a world. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 17:57, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

A dilemma

Hi SpacemanSpiff, something's wacky with the Mahesh Dilemma Afd. The listing at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Deletion_sorting/India doesn't show the !votes as it normally would. The listing at Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Social science seems to show everything correctly. And then the "this article's entry" link from the article page is a redlink, but it does go to the proper AfD page and does show the !votes. Just fyi. Priyanath talk 02:39, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
