Hi. I hope you feel welcome and comfortable editing Wikipedia articles. I needed to removed your insertions ("Related topics", "Trivia", etc.) again because I feel they are unencyclopedic. I've incorporated the vast majority of the info in those into the rest of the article (e.g., you'll find Arundhati Roy in the "Culture" section, the Panchayat local level election link in "Politics", poorams in the "Culture" section. I think it's best if we don't duplicate material. I'm not removing the sections you're reinserting in order to be mean/nasty, and I hope you're not offended. If you have opinions about this (you feel this is wrong) or about other things in Kerala, please, please share them with us on Talk:Kerala, where others can hear your opinions. Again, welcome. You have been temporarily blocked for violation of the three revert rule. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but also please make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future. --Nlu (talk) 07:14, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can understand that your WP:BOLD edits were not vandalism — my apologies; I'm new at this. If you want still to delete the material on Keralite matrilineality and feel that its absence would improve the article, please do so ... but please also explain your actions with a well-reasoned edit summary. Or just drop a short comment on the talk page at Talk:Kerala or on my user talk page (User talk:Saravask). Saravask 08:06, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I apologize for getting you blocked. Here's a proposed rewording of the disputed sentence written by Raghu.kuttan (talk · contribs):

"Kerala's society is also less patriarchical than the rest of the Third World. Many Keralites — especially the Nair caste — follow a traditional matrilineal system known as marumakkatayam. Christians, Muslims, and some Hindu castes like Namboothiri and Ezhava follow makkathayam, a patrilineal system."

Would you mind commenting at Talk:Kerala#Matrilineality on what you think of this version? Even a simple "yes" or "no" will do. Thank you. Saravask 07:10, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
