Craigslist killer redirect[edit]

There's a message waiting for you also at Talk: Craigslist Killer. Please don't change the redirect again unless and until you have consensus to do so - and please watch out for WP:3RR. Two separate editors reverted your redirect move, so the right thing to do is to question it on talk, as you did, but not to also make the change again over the objections of 2 editors. Tvoz/talk 02:41, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The objection of the two separate editors was without explanation (saying "BLP issues" w/o specifying the issues is meaningless). We'll talk in the appropriate talk pages. Ricardo Santiago (talk) 05:36, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed my note above - the comment is at Talk: Craigslist Killer uppercase K. Tvoz/talk 07:26, 23 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Inside E Street Screen Shot.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Inside E Street Screen Shot.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:CUnseen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion because it is an unused duplicate of another template, or a hard-coded instance of another template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is not actually the same as the other template noted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page explaining how this one is different so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{substituted}}</noinclude>).

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page's talk page, where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. One Small Dabpage[edit]

Hi, I could've sworn the wording at WP:2DAB was stronger than it was, but it appears that's a false memory... .

However, I'd argue that there is indeed a primary topic here, in the sense that one of the topics is a long-running comic strip whose article has a couple of dozen links to it, and the other is an as-yet-unaired TV show. Leaving One Big Happy as a link to the comic strip article until we know the show's going to be around for a while would seem the easiest course, and save a lot of edits to fix newly-ambiguous links.

But, since a bunch of pages have now been edited, it doesn't seem worthwhile to undo anything at this point. I disagree with WP:2DAB's assertion that this was "harmless", but the majority of the harm has now been undone, so we're just down to anyone looking for the comic strip being now in a 2-click instead of 1-click situation as the only "harm". I think that's survivable :-). Cheers, NapoliRoma (talk) 01:06, 7 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Big Bang Theory Controversy[edit]

Daniel Levitin made a cameo appearance on an episode of the television show The Big Bang Theory. The definition of a cameo, according to Wikipedia, is "a brief appearance ... of a known person in a work of the performing arts, typically unnamed or appearing as themselves." You have repeatedly deleted this entry both on Levitin's bio page, on the page for the TV show, and on the page for documenting cameos List_of_The_Big_Bang_Theory_characters#Notable_guest_stars_appearing_as_themselves, on the false assumption that it does not constitute a cameo appearance if uncredited. It appears that you are harboring some kind of personal grudge and violating the edit warring policy of Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Edit_warring. You have not followed Wikipedia procedures by trying to resolve this on the Talk page. VinylCollector82 (talk) 19:50, 22 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

That wasn't a cameo -- it as an appearance as a background actor. He cameo requires him to play himself. He did not play any character, he was just a background, with no speaking role and did not interact with any character. Ricardo Santiago (talk) 01:20, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean like Alfred Hitchcock on a bus? You are wrong about this. Hitchcock rarely interacted with others in his cameos and was in the background, and those are still considered the archetype of a cameo. StephenEngle (talk) 05:50, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Kevin Sussman[edit]

moved to Talk:The Big Bang Theory (season 8)#Kevin Sussman's role: Recurring or Starring

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
