Hi again Ravi - and thanks so much for your kind thoughts. Please don't apologise for the lack of time - I know how life and work can take up one's life - why else would I have spent 30 years writing one book? I just wish you all the very best in your endeavors - and hope life brings happiness and fulfillment to you - whatever you do - and that you don't lose your interest in history because of the demands of the rat race of life. I send you my very best wishes and thanks again for your encouragement (and, by the way, it was wonderful to hear that you happened upon me through my 1988 article on the history of Khotan in the Indo-Iranian Journal - I've often wondered whether anyone had ever taken any notice of it - it is most gratifying to hear you found it). Congratulations to the West Bengal workgroup for having their flagship article featured on the Main Page! The Indian states workgroup is also involved in maintaining articles about India's states and union territories. »

WikiProject Indian roads was recently started as a new workgroup, to standardize and improve articles related to Indian roads, mainly the National and State Highways. After all, India has the second largest road network in the world.

Iravan, the son of Arjuna, is now our 85th good article. How do we know this? Since last year, more processes have been automated, increasing productivity. Article alerts update the project with what's happening to India-related articles, from copyright violations to featured article candidates.

To do…
During the last few weeks, peer reviews for the recent general election and 2003 Afro-Asian Games (held in Hyderabad) were opened and are waiting for more comments, as are several articles at the peer review department. Sikkim has been nominated for FAR, and Hastings Ismay, 1st Baron Ismay has been nominated for FAC. »

The last newsletter was written a year ago. In June 2008, Indian Premier League was "hot" on Wikipedia, but the article about this year's IPL has attracted 477 editors, or 53% more than the previous year! Even the number of articles in the scope of our project jumped by a whopping 18,500+ articles in an year. The 3.2-year-old India quiz continues to attract old and new Wikipedians, so join in the fun!

Wikipedians are organizing a meetup in Bangalore on July 4 or 5. If you are interested, head over to the page and add your name! Topics of discussion include Indian language editions of Wikipedia and Wikimedia India.

There is NO direct bus to Marathalli from JNR 4th Block. YOu'll have to come to one of these three places:

  • East End - Any bus from the signal [opposite Cool Joint, infront of the Titan Eye+ store on 11th main] that goes to BTM, JP Nagar or Bannerghatta Road like 24, 25, 27, 364, 369 and their series will do.
  • JNR 5th Block - Any JP Nagar 6th phase or Jumbusavari Dinne bus will go there. It is the junction where there is an Apple iStore by Reliance Digital. Buses will need to be caught from the main bus stand on 9th Main.
  • Banashankari - Several buses to Marathalli start here, and all of them come this way as well as via the above two. You can catch all 13, 210, FDR buses from the main bus stand on 9th Main road.

From any of these three points you will get a direct bus to Marathalli, which will be in the 500, 501, 502 series. There are several Volvo's along this route. You can see a list here... Banashankari is listed as BSK.

With all due respect, I have been following the guidelines of some of the experts at WP and also from scholars. Srikanth Please do not make illegitimate claims about me. If you would like to discuss in a professional manner, please post polite comments and not discriminatory comments. Srikanth, you have confessed that you do not know much about Iyengars, I do not see the reason why you file cases without any understanding of the topic. Please learn to respect WP users. You first told me to bring sources, and now I have brought reliable sources. I have also given the sources to one of the pals who knows well about WP technocracy. I personally am unfamiliar with the editing history of Vyaghradhataki (talk · contribs), so I cannot say whether SVR014 is or isn't a sock of that user. Dear Ravichandar84, you claim that Svr014 is a sockpuppet. Svr014 has posted a number of times on my talk page, but I don't know much about the articles he edits. Can you provide evidence?
