Sir Thomas Myles

I only just discovered the page that lists recently created articles, noticed Thomas Myles and looked at it, as I am interested in this period of Irish history. I don't know much about Myles, but I see he got off lightly compared to say Roger Casement, another Anglo-Irish rebel who was knighted prior to his revolutionary activities and subsequently stripped of his knighthood. Well done for creating a new article, but I think there is a risk that RC patrollers/admins could delete the article as a matter of course as it seems to be their policy. That you have made links to other protagonists in the gun smuggling affair helps, and more citations would give the article legitimacy. Perhaps you could add a stub tag, which might encourage others to contribute. Natalieduerinckx 01:12, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Dr. Steeven's Hospital

Sorry if you were offended by my spelling 'correction' of Dr Steeven's Hospital. The Irish health authorities have modernized the spelling to Steven's on some websites, but on looking further I have found other sites that spell it as you have done. Natalieduerinckx 16:22, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Gay Future

I noted your removal of the Tote reference in the Gay Future article. I'm sure I recall it being reported at the time that disruption at the Tote was involved, although I can find no confirmation of that now. Well done

That was a good find you made to get the birth and death dates of William Russell Lane-Joynt. With the same source you might be able to fill in some details for Aindrias Ó Caoimh (attorney general) and his son Aindrias Ó Caoimh (judge). Cheers ww2censor (talk) 18:27, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Unfortunately I think I stumbled across William Russell Lane-Joynt and his achievements too late for Kevin McCarthy to include him in his book on Irish olympians [1]. I have more information on him and his ancestors and descendants, but it's probably not worth including in Wikipedia.

Ferguson's book gives birthdates only for those called to the bar up to 1968 so is no help with Aindrias Óg. Ferguson's inclusion of death dates is sparse, so one has to rely on The Irish Times archives.
