- Hello, I saw your comment and would like to ask why RYM is an unreliable source, and would a site such as Spotify or Apple Music be better? PunchboxNET (talk) 17:15, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- I don't know, apart from the fact that the site's content is user-generated and therefore inherently non-reliable. If you look at WP:RYM, there are probably links to more info and/or earlier discussions which may shed some light on this.
- The same goes for eg. Discogs. Allmusic is a bit better, AFAIK, but still not great.
- Spotify and Apple aren't really sources in the same sense, as they're more distribution channels.
- Reliable source means having editorial oversight and a reputation for fact-checking. If there is editorial content in any of these sources, that might be okay, but it will still get flagged up as a non-reliable one.

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]
Hello, PunchboxNET. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. - Hello, I don't have a conflict of interest, I just decided to start editing about him since I have listened to his music, and I know stuff about him that I wanted to add to this, since I saw the page was lacking quite a bit for (arguably) Finland's most popular rapper.
