Relevance of Image on Qantas page.

Hi There, I see you think that there is a need for a picture of a QANTAS 747-400ER on the page. I do not believe that it is relevant as the 747 isn't being retired, it was a rumor. The Facts are QANTAS isn't retiring The 747 therefore this is a random irrelevant picture.--Life200BC (talk) 01:43, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

There is a discussion on the article's talk page. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 10:04, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
Ok cool. Thanks for your help. --Life200BC (talk) 10:27, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
[ec] I also note that you made eight reverts to that page in the space of under 24 hours. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 10:29, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
Yes , I know i was crucified by an administrator for that. I was attempting to stop people spreading fake news on an encyclopedic page. Furthermore, I apologise if I may have seemed agressive in my removal of your image, as I can see how you may have thought that it was relavent. --Life200BC (talk) 10:41, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
There was no "fake news". You have yet to restore the image. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 10:43, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
You've also referred, on your talk page, to my edits as "vandalism". That's an outrageous slur. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 10:46, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
The caption was speculative and not supported by a reliable source. I also don't believe that the image is relevant to the page. However, if this does turn out to be the last commercial flight of a QANTAS 747, it maybe relevant in the QANTAS history page. Vandalism was not referring to your additional image, it was to the people constantly removing the 747 from fleet statistics, your edit made it clear that it was speculation, however Wikipedia is not a place for speculation--Life200BC (talk) 10:54, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
I've already refuted your first and final point in the discussion on the article's talk page, to which I referred you above. My edits were among those that the administrator warned - mildly, not "crucified" - you about reverting; you responded with your reference to vandalism. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 10:58, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

Interested editors can comment on the RfC itself on its talk page.

Ceawlin Thynn, 8th Marquess of Bath

With the death of the 7th Marquess, Ceawlin Thynn becomes the 8th Marquess of Bath. Article really needs a decent infobox, similar to that on his father's article. Can you fix this? Mjroots (talk) 12:15, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

Seems to be done already. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:16, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

On 5 April 2020, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Alexander Thynn, 7th Marquess of Bath, which you updated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. Black Kite (talk) 23:21, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

File mover granted

Hello Pigsonthewing. Your account has been granted the "filemover" user right, either following a request for it or due to a clear need for the ability to move files. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:File mover for more information on this user right and under what circumstances it is okay to move files. Thank you, and happy editing! ~Swarm~ {sting} 00:40, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

Smirnov

Hard to say how impressed I am by the list of his works! Which one would you recommend for a composition article? One of those written "in memory", perhaps? ... cantata Song of Songs? ... one of the Blake-inspired works? - He'd deserve it. - I need to interrupt work on his article, - the All-CAPs in the recordings need to go, and more references added (teaching, conductors ...). Anybody can do that ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:06, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

I regret that I'm not familiar with his works; something I intend to rectify. I have a browser plugin that makes it easy to fix text case issues, so that's done. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 11:21, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. I'll look myself then, perhaps "Compositions based on Blake". - Can you add one of the sources in Russian to the article, for his death? I can't tell which. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:59, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
Seems to have been done already. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:58, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
Yes, seen. - I managed a bit more, but now really need a break ;) - a bit chilling: not only was he born the same day (2 Nov) as a composer you met, also composed a piece with the same title, "Between Scilla and Charybdis", one for string orchestra, the other for string quartet. I'd love o get rid of the "laundry list" of conductors, by integrating them to where music is performed, - another day, probably. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:19, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
Another thing they have in common: a favourable CD review by Hubert Culot. Feel free to add prose from it, and a concert review. Bedtime for me. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:55, 15 April 2020 (UTC)
I decided on his Triple Concerto No. 2 for violin, harp and double bass, to be written on 22 April, the birthday of a double bass player I know well, pictured in an ext link here. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:58, 16 April 2020 (UTC)
