League of Rights

Thank you for your welcome. I've included a lot of references on the League of Rights. I haven't had time to reference more of the points that need referencing in the article, but will try to do so soon. Hope what I've included is OK. Caterann (talk) 11:53, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Ferret Music requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Rollback tool

Hi Paul. I'm not around much anymore, but I have noticed your continuing contributions about the place, and thought that you might find the rollback tool useful. If you'd like me to enable it on your account, just say the word. Keep well, cj | talk 06:57, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

I understand; it's difficult to maintain a commitment here as well as to many other more pressing ones in 'real life'. That's why I've been on the look out for local users to give the rollbacker tool. It's a minor tool, but it does allow for a slightly more efficient use of time, which I hope means that the articles of importance to me stand a better shot of being maintained. At any rate, I've enabled it on your account, so feel free to make use of it — or not. All the best, cj | talk 08:28, 11 July 2010 (UTC)

Categories for discussion/Log/2010 July 13#Category:New York City Ballet repertory by season

May I call your attention to a proposal at Categories for discussion/Log/2010 July 13 to delete Category:New York City Ballet repertory by season? — Robert Greer (talk) 22:26, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

Minda Inc ref - thanks

Hi Paul, thanks for that. It annoyed me that I couldn't back up something I know to be, unfortunately, true. Peripitus (Talk) 12:27, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles 05:30, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Autopatrolled

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:

  • This permission does not give you any special status or authority
  • Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
  • You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
  • If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing! Acalamari 14:00, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Beth Dean & Corroboree

Hi Paul - thanks for your welcome and advice. I'm pleased that you've set up a new page for Corroboree (Ballet). I wanted to ask your advice on creating a new page for Beth Dean. Just the little amount of research I've done on her to add information to the relevant pages makes me think she really does deserve an entry of her own. I gather you are something of a balletomane yourself - what do you think? Cheers, Susan+49 (talk) 00:35, 9 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi Susan, looking at the Australia Dancing article, plus the entry for Beth Dean in Australia Dances by Alan Brissendon & Keith Glennon, the Currency Companion to Music and Dance in Australia also has a bit about her she does appear notable. I have been more interested in contemporary dance than ballet, and saw a need to expand Wikipedia's coverage of dance in Australia, Cheers

Wikiproject Ballet article talkpage template help

Hi Paul foord,

Robertgreer suggested that I contact you about a problem I've found with the template for Wikiproject Ballet that is used on article talk space. I've tried to describe the problem here, here and here. If you have time, please let me know if I've described the problem sufficiently and if you know how to fix it. Dkreisst (talk) 22:34, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

I am no expert on Templates, User:Happy-melon would be the person to request help from. Paul foord (talk) 23:57, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
Ah, Thanks! Dkreisst (talk) 07:02, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Thought you'd want to know

I thought you'd want to know that I edited your user page to link to an identical edit counter to the one you had linked, as it (the soxred93 one) has expired (Tparis has taken over the tools). Hope you don't mind. :-) --Gilderien Talk|Contribs 20:47, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Hey! I am trying to revive WikiProject Dance and am contacting all members to see if they are still available. If you are interested in continuing, please let me know so I can keep you on the members list. If not, let me know and I'll move your name to the inactive members. Please respond on the project talkpage within seven days or you name will be labeled inactive. Please don't reply here. You can always rejoin if you forget to respond. Also, if you have any knowledge on how to design pages, please note that. Thank you! ReelAngelGirl Talk to me! Tea? 15:05, 14 March 2012 (UTC)

Wilfrid Thomas

Hi Paul foord!

I've added some useful information to Wilfrid Thomas including the following: In 1934 he married the Swedish dancer Marga Lienhart of Colonel de Basil's Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, which toured Australia in 1936 (Thomas narrated the documentary film).

I know nothing of ballet and my only reference is John Cargher's "Opera and Ballet in Australia". Is this sentence OK and can you add anything about Ms. Lienhart? I may even have the spelling of her name wrong. Doug butler (talk) 22:23, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

Talkback

Hello, Paul foord. You have new messages at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Inter-School Christian Fellowship.
Message added 00:31, 5 October 2012 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

G'day Paul. I've taken a look at the Trove links you've provided, and I still doubt that the subject of the article is notable. Per WP:OUTCOMES, school clubs are generally deleted as non-notable.

Even so, I would welcome your comments at the AfD for the article. ˜danjel [ talk | contribs ] 00:31, 5 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited NPY Women's Council, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Margaret Tobin and Pitjantjatjara (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
