About the advice

Actually, as u can see on my user page, i'm from mexico, i dont think the education is the same as in ireland (if u are studying there), basically here in mexico (or the school i went to) systems engineer is a computer related career that studies a lot of areas (programming, tech support, systems design, etc)but doesn't specialize in any of them, it's pretty balanced, u can do a degree in other areas like electronics or math, maybe u can see a lot more in the description page here
