@Qatarman: Read my last message to you, link a URL to these new pictures. I'm not going to do most of the work for you as I honestly have no idea what specific pictures you actually want added. I'm not an expert in Qatar Airways. -NottNott 23:51, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

Byalgrad

Hello,

I received a message from you whereby you reprimanded me for an edit I made to the Byalgrad article that was not constructive. I tried to correct an error in the article - it states that the best preserved part of the fortress is the "dungeon". What in fact the author meant was the "keep" - the central tower in the fortification system. The error stems form the fact that in Bulgarian, as well as in English the French word donjon is used as an academic term for a keep. So I changed dungeon (which is completely incorrect) into donjon, which was deemed not to be a constructive edit. I should probably have used the word keep instead, though I think that donjon is not out of place. I actually have visited the fortress which is in Sothern Bulgaria and the keep itself - a large stone tower which was used as a residential building as well as the last point of defence in the Middle Ages. It is also described as such in the available scientific publications though at this moment I can not cite any.

Regards,

Vladislav Stoichkov — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vladislav Stoichkov (talkcontribs) 13:56, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

@Vladislav Stoichkov: Hey there, welcome to Wikipedia. I reverted your edit because it looked like someone misspelled 'dungeon' for WP:Vandalism, which isn't unreasonable given how similar the words are. I'm not an expert in Medieval Bulgarian Castles though, and your explanation behind the edit is very good. Please see this edit I've made in response, with the word 'keep'. Cheers -NottNott 00:01, 2 March 2018 (UTC)

Useless

It doesn't matter I dont know what a url is not only that my 1st time as being a editor on Wikipedia and u r useless — Preceding unsigned comment added by Qatarman (talkcontribs) 10:58, 2 March 2018 (UTC)

@Qatarman: It's hardly like a URL is a Wikipedia thing, it's just the site address at the top of any web browser ;) -NottNott 11:36, 2 March 2018 (UTC)

Doesn't matter if u dont want to help me and if u want to be the useless guy u r then be my guest — Preceding unsigned comment added by Qatarman (talkcontribs) 20:37, 2 March 2018 (UTC)

Spatterson_UG sandbox

Hi you rejected creation of a sandbox for one of my students. I believe this was an error based on your belief that it might have been a sandbox for a more well known Scott Patterson. He will be resubmitting this page which must be approved for his continued participation in this course which is partnered with the Wiki Education Foundation. thank you Mosterbur (talk) 18:57, 27 February 2018 (UTC)Mosterbur

@Mosterbur: The page as it was is literally just a page that says 'Scott Patterson'. Regardless of whoever this article is supposed to be about, there is no way a WP:BLP with two words and no sources or content or anything should go into mainspace. That's why I rejected it, not for any other reason. The sandbox still exists and your students are welcome to do whatever in it - there is no need to go through the WP:AFC process to create a sandbox. AFC is for the creation of articles in mainspace. As far as my knowledge goes, I doubt your student meets the notability criteria for his own article in mainspace. -NottNott 21:42, 27 February 2018 (UTC)
:@NottNott: Thank you for the clarification. The versions of the page we were looking at made it appear that his sandbox had been rejected. Obviously he did not intend to create a page for himself. Mosterbur (talk) 20:31, 4 March 2018 (UTC)Mosterbur

@Distortion17: Per WP:BURDEN the citations should be added on the same edit as you add the material. -NottNott 19:30, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

On Bari Weiss's persecution of Arab scholars residing in the U.S.

@104.35.104.230: WP:BLP - the way you've added the content with no inline sourcing has some serious problems and could come off as libel. You should add this content in a 'criticism' section that complies with WP:NPOV - without trying to defame the person. Say 'this is what this source said' rather than stating something as absolute fact. If you can't do these things, don't edit the biography. -NottNott 19:52, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

Homoeopathy

I noticed that in this wiki page without proper proof or source references or any basic research this system of medicine has been blindly thrashed and insulted. Its highly disappointing that sych false information is being shared on pages such as wiki. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dr.Asha Krishna (talkcontribs) 18:28, 11 March 2018 (UTC)

@Dr.Asha Krishna: Read WP:No original research. What you did was remove sourced content and replace it with your own opinion. That's not how things work around here. See WP:REDFLAG with regards to your claim. -NottNott 18:35, 11 March 2018 (UTC)

Inaccuracy of map describing gendered pronouns in various languages

Hi Nottnott. Thank you for the polite reply regarding my edit to the Han (pronoun) page.

The map is simply inaccurate with respect to the Persian language. That is the only language I checked: it could very well be inaccurate for most or all languages.

The proper way to correct this error, I leave to more experienced hands. If you feel some responsibility for that page, however, as of this moment, you are responsible for the error.

Do with that information what you will. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.112.171.81 (talk) 15:28, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

@71.112.171.81: Given that I have never edited the page and image at all before reverting your edit, I'm definitely not responsible for any error. I reverted your edit as placing a [citation needed] tag in the caption didn't seem necessary in this case. The image as seen here also claims to have a source. -NottNott 15:36, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

Segata Sanshiro

Hi there NOTTNOTT, nice to meet you. I'm going to have to disagree about the change not being constructive. The character Segata Sanshiro is clearly not just martial artist. His job (though it's not clear if he's getting paid for it )is to spread the word of the Sega Saturn, he is even known by sega executives in the Sega commercials. Calling him just a martial artist doesn't really tell people what he does. it's like calling the Tekken character Heihahci just a martial artist when he is clearly the former ceo of the Mishima Zaibatsu. yes he is a martial artist but that's not his job. My apologies if this sounds rude but you how written text can have an assumed negative tone sometimes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.63.163.88 (talk) 16:46, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

@108.63.163.88: Hey there, welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for your message. I've restored your edit after reading the article more closely. I thought it was a big change to someone's occupation in a way that seemed nonsensical, but in the context of the article it makes perfect sense. -NottNott 16:52, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

Request on 22:41:17, 21 March 2018 for assistance on AfC submission by ITLRosanna

My article for Dancewave was rejected twice. After the first time it was rejected, I worked on it to remove language that sounded promotional. After submitting it again, I was told that the article was still promotional in tone. Can you provide me any detailed feedback as to what is so promotional about the article? ITLRosanna (ITLRosanna (talk) 22:41, 21 March 2018 (UTC)) ITLRosanna (talk) 22:41, 21 March 2018 (UTC)

@ITLRosanna: Hey there. See this revision to the article I have made - it addresses the concerns I had over promotion. In the article's current state I would have passed it. Any detailed feedback about what I thought promotional can be inferred from this diff that I have linked. Many thanks -NottNott 07:38, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
