Chicken Marsala

Greetings Nkon21. I think you may have reverted my edit within Chicken tikka masala a little hastily. I corrected a vandalized redirect to Chicken marsala (note the R in maRsala) for people who aren't looking for the curry dish, but for the Italian dish prepared with wine from the town of Marsala (with an R) in Sicily, Scallopine di pollo al Marsala.

Unfortunately the article on Chicken tikka masala (without an R and with a "tikka") is a frequent target of people incensed by what they see as cultural appropriation. The article states the dish may have arisen in Europe - albeit devised by people with family roots in the Indian subcontinent, using ingredients and techniques from the cuisine of that area. Some readers regard this as a slight by the decendants of the former colonial occupiers. Rather than providing reliable evidence of their heart-felt conviction that the dish cannot have been devised in Europe, they are sometimes inclined to change all mentions of European countries in the article to India or the immediate area. The redirect to the Italian dish (MaRsala) gets caught in the crossfire when the South Asian patriot vents his/her ire.

My edit was merely to revert the vandalism and requires no evidence of the Italian origin of Chicken marsala (with an R) within the article for Chicken tikka masala (without an R and with a "tikka"). The evidence belongs in the linked article. Hope this is OK by you. Kind regards and keep up the good work Guffydrawers (talk) 10:36, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

My bad, I thought you were changing the description of the article to an "Italian" dish, which I didn't think was quite right. Otherwise you're all good. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 23:15, 24 September 2020 (UTC)

Billboard Information Requested Is Indeed In Article You Declined

Good morning,

Yesterday you declined my article and you specifically said Billboard chart information needs to be included.

However, this information is indeed already in the article:

"Cooper earned his first professional producer credits when he produced songs on Tragedy Khadafi's Still Reporting album, which was released on October 21, 2003 on Solid Records / 25 To Life. William Cooper, under the alias Booth, produced the title track "Still Reporting", "Hood Love" ft Rashida and "Wake The Dead (Black Aura Skit)". The album peaked on Billboard Charts at #53 (Top R&B / Hip Hop Albums)."

Since this info is already included I am not sure if I should just resubmit as-is.

Can you reconsider your approval?

Thanks!

Why did you reverted my edits to Twice? I'm just updating their photos. Dreizu (talk) 06:29, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

Firstly, the photos you inserted for horribly formatted and as a result took up literally the entire screen. Did you use "Show preview" before you published your edits? Secondly and more importantly, I have a hard time believing those photos you uploaded are really your work. I see that they have been circulating around Facebook, Pinterest and the like and some even have a small watermark that's visible. Do NOT claim ownership of images which you did not actually take yourself. Those images are not likely your own work and be aware that Wikipedia is very serious about copyright violations. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 06:49, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

MatDeck

Hi,

Thank you for your input. The website has a large number of examples (more than 100) that can be used to see what the software can do. Each example is a PDF version of the MatDeck file as well as .mmd files available that can be loaded directly in the software. I am happy to send you a free full commercial license if you wish to verify it further. You can run the software and check all the capabilities and sources mentioned. The website has more than a 1000 pages about MatDeck. MatDeck is much cheaper than MatLab, LabVIEW and Mathematica which may make it seem less reliable. However, at the cost of being cheaper, devlopment time was over 10 years. This was done to ensure that it is affordable to every type of user. Other similar software companies (MatLab, LabVIEW) also used their own examples and webpages as credible source and were accepted. The sources in this article are the same and seondary sources such as the ECG Signal Processing book were also used.

Please feel welcome to give more pointers and suggestions.

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Milan Surbek (talkcontribs) 19:37, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

Susan Page was ineffective

Susan Page had no control of the debate. Her constant “Thank you Mr Vice President” was ineffective and became quite annoying when she could not come up with something more original and more assertive. In addition, he questions were weak. I wanted to add her ineffectual moderator performance as an edit, but my edit was refused because I had no citation. to Draft:Gosset Experiment Design

Hi Nkon21, Thank you for your comments on Draft:Gosset Experiment Design. GED for short. I appreciate all your comments. I had not finished constructing the page for GED. Since wiki informed me that it would take about 2 months to get evaluated, I have been careful putting it together. And there is much I still need to learn. So I was happily surprised that the article has already been critiqued. Impressed that the critique was so specific, and focused on the points I myself was hoping to improve. I would like to continue working on the page to make it better, and make it acceptable to Wiki quality control, like you.

1. My first answer to your main concern is: the Gosset program, and all its documentation has been put in the public domain in 2017 by the authors/creators of the Gosset computer language (much like the R computer language). I wrote to the first author (now a professor at Rutgers) to re-confirm permission for the sake of building a wikipedia page. He was enthusiastic. About 90% of the page so far, was taken from the introductory page to the program. My question: How can I indicate on the page that the content is public domain and is legal to be on wikipedia?

2. I practiced making real citations, and made two. There are more to be made. I have been trying to figure out how to move and attach the citations to the specific sentences. If you could help me learn how to do this I would appreciate it. How do I relocate citations?

3. Trying to answer your critique, I first accidentally clicked on your info page. An advanced violist and swimmer. Delightful. Which is your favorite stroke? I am US citizen and have worked in Asia. I have visited Taiwan three times, once all the way to the southern tip. Lovely nation, island and people.

Did I sign this talk correctly?

Thank you, Nkon21. Stay safe. Sincerely, Henkuoui (talk) 18:08, 19 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi Henkuoui, thank you for contacting me. Regarding your first concern about releasing the work into public domain, please check out Wikipedia:Granting work into the public domain for more information on how to do that. It seems that you have already worked out concern number 2 yourself looking back on the draft, so it seems like that's already taken care of. Regarding number 3, I'm glad that we have so much things in common! I've visited China, Hong Kong and Taiwan on a family trip many years ago and I hope to go back one day. My favorite swimming stroke is breaststroke by the way :-).
Don't worry, you formatted everything including your signature correctly. If you have any additional questions, you can reply here or you can ask the Teahouse. Stay safe! ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 14:52, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for the response

I was able to find the billboard chart position on their site for the Still Reportin'... album he produced. [1]

Also, the group he was best known for is Black Market Militia a group composed of Killah Priest, Timbo King, Hell Razah, Tragedy Khadafi and William Cooper (rapper). They released their first - Black Market Militia - in 2005. They had previously released two underground mixtapes, The Black Market Vol. 1 and Vol. 2: Dead Street Scrolls.

As you can see, there is a Wikipedia page for the group, and individual pages from each group member except William Cooper. This is ultimately all I am doing, just making sure the entire group is represented on the site.

Thanks again!

Hello, I've added more sources to the Wikipedia article I created today.

Hey, I've added more sources to the wikipedia page I created today: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:David_F._McGowan

Is that good enough for it to no longer be a draft? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Danielrfindley (talkcontribs) 03:50, 23 October 2020 (UTC)

Unfortunately, no. It seems that all ten sources at the moment except for one are unreliable or are too affiliated with the subject to be deemed reliable, secondary sources. The 4th source in the draft seems to be the only secondary source present, but there is not enough "significant coverage" of the subject so to speak to establish his nobility. Please take a look at Wikipedia:Notability (academics) to understand what Wikipedia is looking for. After careful review of those guidelines and if you think your draft is ready to become published into mainspace again, please submit it for review through the AfC process. Hi There,

I think the content of the page needs to be monitored as it appeared more like a smear campaign on the council rather than factual information about the town. It could be seen as being slanderous towards the council. I do not work for Mansfield District Council.

Hi, Thank you for reviewing the draft article of Prof. Michel Brecovier. Hi @Adig-pt:, sorry that I didn't get back to you sooner. Regarding the draft, I do believe that criteria 5 has been met. New Page Patrol December Newsletter

Hello Nkon21,

A chart of the 2020 New Page Patrol Queue

Year in review

It has been a productive year for New Page Patrol as we've roughly cut the size of the New Page Patrol queue in half this year. We have been fortunate to have a lot of great work done by Rosguill who was the reviewer of the most pages and redirects this past year. Thanks and credit go to JTtheOG and Onel5969 who join Rosguill in repeating in the top 10 from last year. Thanks to John B123, Hughesdarren, and Mccapra who all got the NPR permission this year and joined the top 10. Also new to the top ten is DannyS712 bot III, programmed by DannyS712 which has helped to dramatically reduce the number of redirects that have needed human patrolling by patrolling certain types of redirects (e.g. for differences in accents) and by also patrolling editors who are on on the redirect whitelist.

Reviewer of the Year

John B123 has been named reviewer of the year for 2020. John has held the permission for just over 6 months and in that time has helped cut into the queue by reviewing more than 18,000 articles. His talk page shows his efforts to communicate with users, upholding NPP's goal of nurturing new users and quality over quantity.

NPP Technical Achievement Award

As a special recognition and thank you DannyS712 has been awarded the first NPP Technical Achievement Award. His work programming the bot has helped us patrol redirects tremendously - more than 60,000 redirects this past year. This has been a large contribution to New Page Patrol and definitely is worthy of recognition.

Hi - I followed those directions and added the recommended legalese to this app: http://www.94westbound.com/chicagoland-healthcare-innovators-directory/#sthash.qeX3MpXm.dpbs In terms of the directory issue, I had already read that. That's why I spent so many hours trying to build on what I had created in my own directory and turn it into a wikipedia page that's appropriate, using the Media In New York page as a model. If all of that effort was a epic fail, then I guess I'll try to figure out what I can do to address that issue. Hopefully in the meantime the work won't all get deleted and be unrecoverable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TipitianasInChitown (talkcontribs) 04:46, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Draft Submission

Hi. I just noticed that my submission for Aliki Chrysochou (soprano) was declined because of insufficient independent sources. I have referenced Britain's Got Talent, as well as independent sources, and I believe the submission decline was unfair. Also your assumption that an artist is only worth a wikipedia page when their song has charted makes me believe that your knowledge in music is limited to US produced pop music. European artists, opera singers and even musicians outside the scope of pop music are not directly interested in charting, as their genre is not pop - popular - and their focus is mostly the European market and not the American.

Nevertheless, the sources listed, such as Britain's Got Talent, as well as the news articles from mirror.co.uk and the encephalitis society must be sufficient enough for the article to be published. Wordwizardam (talk) 13:18, 30 December 2020 (UTC)

View from Reunion Tower image

Hello there,

Just thought I'd give a heads up on your TP about it in case - I reverted your image change on File:View_from_Reunion_Tower_August_2015_05.jpg due to the new image breaking the image map on the article List of tallest buildings in Dallas. The image map is coded for a 6000x4000 pixel image, but your upload was a 1920x1080 image.

Have a nice day, mate, and Happy New Years to ya.
