Welcome![edit]

Hello, Nickkontek, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Impromptu No. 3, Op. 90 (Schubert), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, ask me on my talk page. You can also type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! intforce (talk) 18:57, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Impromptu No. 3, Op. 90 (Schubert) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

On Talk:Impromptus (Schubert), there was a clear consensus for splitting the impromptus into separate articles, but also a clear consensus for preserving them as a set. Therefore, this page should not exist on its own, and its contents be integrated into Impromptus, Op. 90 (Schubert)#No. 3 in G♭ major.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. intforce (talk) 18:57, 13 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pensacola Symphony Orchestra moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Pensacola Symphony Orchestra. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. JTtheOG (talk) 22:07, 5 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Nickkontek feel free to ask any questions. You have written a good draft tone-wise, but it just isn't quite there with notability or referencing yet. Qcne (talk) 21:24, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Nickkontek. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Nickkontek. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Nickkontek|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 21:37, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The reason I am asking is that you claim the images you have uploaded as your own personal work, but at least some of them appear to be professionally taken, and you wrote that one is an album cover. 331dot (talk) 21:40, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
Could you continue to monitor the draft and possibly add your own content to it? I may need some guidance and more advice on this.
Thanks. Nickkontek (talk) 15:13, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Courtesy ping @GoingBatty Qcne (talk) 15:42, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
First, gather the independent published sources that provide significant coverage of Nuccio and then write the draft. See Help:Your first article for lots of information. I won't be monitoring the draft or adding any content to it. When you've made significant changes and are ready to have it reviewed again, click the blue "Resubmit" button at the top of the draft. I'm also concerned that you uploaded photos as your "own work" that can be found at the web sites of the New York Philharmonic and University of North Texas. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 17:50, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How am I able to upload photos from the Internet legally without copyright? Nickkontek (talk) 19:05, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Assume every single image you find online is copyrighted and not permitted to be uploaded to Wikipedia. Wikipedia only accepts images that have been very specifically released under one of the following licenses: WP:ICT/FL. Qcne (talk) 19:20, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If an image online does not show any copyright on its source, how may it be used? Nickkontek (talk) 22:47, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If there is no copyright status, assume it is copyrighted and do not use it. Qcne (talk) 07:58, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Nickkontek, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Nickkontek|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 16:26, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wait, how do I disclose that I am not paid to edit? Nickkontek (talk) 19:04, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are you not being paid to edit? Just say so. Qcne (talk) 19:20, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The reason that we are asking this is that you claim that professionally taken images are your own personal work. If these are not your personal work, you must immediately request deletion of the images from Commons.
If you are not paid to edit, just say so. 331dot (talk) 19:45, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks. I will as soon as possible. Nickkontek (talk) 22:46, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
