You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Slieve League. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue.

In particular the three-revert rule states that:

  • Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  • Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording, and content that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Before attempting to make any additional changes to this article, I encourage you to take your supporting and reliable sources to the talk page for discussion first. 13:44, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

You are getting dangerously close to violating WP:3RR. I urge you to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia policies before you edit Slieve League again. If you would like, I can help you. Erikeltic (Talk) 19:27, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

3RR[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue.

In particular the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Editors violating the rule will usually be blocked for 24 hours for a first incident.
  3. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

January 2011[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at Slieve League. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

Edit Warring[edit]

If you continue with your edit warring and refuse to follow WP policies regarding sources, you will find that you will be blocked indefinitely from editing on Wikipedia. I encourage you [again] to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia before you continue this behavior. This is the only warning I'm posting this time. Erikeltic (Talk) 20:12, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I came here to leave this very message on your talk page -- imagine my surprise to discover that I already had, nearly one year earlier. Please discontinue your disruptive edits. Erikeltic (Talk) 00:38, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What is disruptive about adding facts? Isn't that what wikipedia is about?Everything that I have edited is pure fact and I have a masters in geography to back that up. It is very clear from various maps and reliable forms of data that what I have edited IS true and I would kindly urge you to please research these controversial issues and finally sort this out, many thanks

Is it possible to get page protection on the page that I created 'Croaghaun'? This would end alot of the edit wars I think

Please stop[edit]

How many times have you been told to stop pushing your Achill Island POV? Yes, Croaghaun is the highest sea cliff on Achill Island. But no, it is not the hight sea cliff on the island of Ireland. Please, note the difference. The Banner talk 21:10, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Compliments of Nasa. Your reasoning that it is not part of the island of Ireland is rediculous. Note on this map that Achill IS part of the island of Ireland. I understand that if you split hairs, it is not but you would also say that the great barrier reef is in australia, wouldn't you? I will continue to stick to my guns because it is correct. No hard feelings.

Goody, you have never noticed that tidal water below when you crossed the Michael Davitt Bridge? The Banner talk 21:59, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

wow you really are seriously adament about this, it's splitting hairs. Is leir don saol e an firinne

It is not splitting hairs. What you are doing is introducing incorrect information. You have already been blocked for that several times. Please stop now before you get kicked out completely. The Banner talk 23:02, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That is your opinion and in this context your opinion is wrong. You are a big let down to a great website like wikipedia. I can read maps and whoever trusted your ability to be a reliable source of information was obviously as unreliable as you, bring in someone who has a clue is what I say. I will stick to my guns, as I said, why should I change. There is quite a distance between a wikipedia journalist and a person who actually learned in uni. Your credibility is seriously questionable as you ignore any arguement that I put forward which shows inability to critique and thus resulting in cyberthreats. It's common knowledge that all the islands off the coast are politically included in the 'island of Ireland' These islands were once part on the 'mainisland' and were broken off as a result of years of coastal eroson of ireland. Do you honeslty think that on the international stage people would say that rathlin island should not be protected by the Irish government as a national area of conservation or likewise to skellig michael just because it is off the coast? There are so many incredible hidden locations in Ireland which should be promoted and as a result entice tourists to the country, thus generating revenue to a country badly in need of it. That is my motivation behind this and it is a great thing, a positive thing, which will hopefully put the location on the tourist trail. There are countless more locations like this in the country which deserve this recognition. And someone like you should be doing this...So go ahead and ignore all of this and threaten me with being blocked from wikipedia because you can't articulate a proper response which will distinguish you from an amateur day to day editor.

Sorry, but it seems more an incompetence problem on your side. I suggest that you start studying the gepgraphy of you own island. And that you read the articles Achill Island, Island, Ireland, Republic of Ireland and List of islands of Ireland. I hope that this give you more insight in the matter.
For your comment It's common knowledge that all the islands off the coast are politically included in the 'island of Ireland'. Wrong, the offshore islands like Achill Island and Clare Island are part of the Republic of Ireland, not of the Island Ireland. Or do you honestly believe that Belfast and Derry are part of the Republic of Ireland because they are lying on the same island as Polranny, Westport, County Mayo en Dublin? The Banner talk 23:49, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You don't seem to get my point, that the credibility of wikipedia is not exactly..well...credible..that is why all uni lectures ban the use of it when doing assignments. There is no chance I am going to go near those articles becuase incompotent people like you are responsible for what goes into them. And relating to your last point...of course I don't think this is the case, give me a little respect here. Wikipedia is open for editing, which is great, as long as the people responsible for this editing are capable of dealing with it. Clearly you are not and I will continue to stand up for facts in the interest of my home county and bringing tourists there whereas you will use your fingers to split geographical hairs to preserve some sort of 'wikipedia credibility'
