Stubs

Hallo, please take care not to add {{stub}} to an article which already has a specific stub tag. And also remember that stub tags go at the bottom, not the top, of the article - see WP:ORDER. Thanks. PamD 10:59, 27 September 2019 (UTC)

And also at Roya Nonahali and Alfred Jermaniš. PamD 11:07, 27 September 2019 (UTC)

Creating blank IP talk pages

Hi Stainless - thanks for your anti-vandalism work! I notice that on a few occasions you've created blank talk pages for IPs, such as at User talk:90.254.77.211, User talk:24.189.35.186 and User talk:2601:585:8500:C0F1:54C0:A03C:C890:AC8D. I just wondered why you were doing this :) Sam Walton (talk) 13:58, 3 October 2019 (UTC)

@Samwalton9 hey, sorry, that's me getting used to Twinkle. It's an accident, nothing more :/

OK! It's not a problem, I was just curious. Feel free to ping me or leave a message on my talk page if I can be of any help. Sam Walton (talk) 14:04, 3 October 2019 (UTC)

Concerns

I have three concerns:

First, you have mistagged several articles for speedy deletion. You should not be tagging articles at all given your supposed lack of experience. The latest example is tagging Ploskovo as an WP:CSD#A3. You can't have read the criterion properly. At the point you tagged it the article said:

Ploskovo (Russian: Плосково) is a rural locality (a village) in Vyaznikovsky District, Vladimir Oblast, Russia. The population was 4 as of 2010.[2]

Even if it had just the first sentence with no source, it would not be an A3. You must stop tagging articles, or you risk being blocked.

Second, what did you mean by this post to a blocked user's Talk page? The post is so obnoxious as to be blockable all by itself. Please explain.

Third, have you edited Wikipedia before with another account or accounts? If so, please disclose them.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:07, 4 October 2019 (UTC)

1. Apologies, the CSD's were made in good faith, and I had believed that it did meet the criteria.

2. It was a poor edit, made before my proper knowledge of WP:Civil, and promptly forgotten about after it was made.

3. No, I have not edited Wikipedia before. Stainless Steel Stalinism (talk) 09:27, 7 October 2019 (UTC)

Some baklava for you!

Thank you for Barnstar  !dea4u  10:30, 7 October 2019 (UTC)

Heads up

You didn't revert the vandal completely, instead left a vandalized version hanging. The Hunter of Evil (talk) 09:22, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

Oops, thanks for telling me though, and it's been noted for the future. Stainless Steel Stalinism (talk) 09:25, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

November 2019

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Stainless Steel Stalinism", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because the very idea of "Stalinism" is extremely offensive to the millions of people who were oppressed by/lost loved ones due to it. Was it as bad as Naziism? That's debatable but the fact remains that many users will be repelled by this name and it is just a bad idea, even if meant in jest. In all honesty I arrived here after seeing your request for rollback. Your username is why I, and probably others, simply don't want to deal with it. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:19, 1 November 2019 (UTC)

Sorry, the account name was indeed done in jest, and I was not aware it was in violation of the Username Policy. An alternate username has been requested, thanks for your patience Stainless Steel Stalinism (talk) 14:38, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
