autoblock[edit]

There are no blocks in effect in the block log for either your username or the IP address in question. So it's likely that this was an autoblock (placed on another user) that affected you because your ISP assigned you the same IP address. This is often the case with schools, for instance, which often route all Internet traffic through a proxy server. Autoblocks are temporary and should clear up after a while, after which you should be able to edit.

Unfortunately, with the Wikipedia software as currently written, autoblocks are placed automatically and inevitably innocent users are sometimes affected. This is hard for users to understand because very few other websites (if any) block logged-in users for the actions of somebody else. Unfortunately, there's nothing that administrators can do about this. -- Curps 08:53, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Jagtag inc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, you may be blocked from editing. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:22, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Barcode, you may have a conflict of interest.   1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

You should not be editing these articles to advertise your company and its products[edit]

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits.
The next time you use Wikipedia for advertising, as you did with Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Your edits, particularly when you write, "Jagtag is not trying to advertise here, just provide a factual reference for people unfamiliar with he company and our unique technology", make it clear that you are attempting to use Wikipedia to publicize your company and its products, in violation of our terms of service. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:27, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
