Greetings Mryan1451. Thank you for your note. As I stated in my edit summary when reverting your edit, the place to reach consensus is at the article talk page. I see now that you have been in contact with other users at their respective talk pages, but whatever you may have discussed with them there needs to be brought to the actual article talk page, where other interested users can participate. This is especially important if what you propose is removing existing references. Rather than removing references, I would suggest enriching the article by adding references from other reliable sources that may offer different views. Talk Page etiquette[edit]
Hi, thanks for the note on my talk page. Rather than try to discuss content issues in great, great detail on individual talk pages, it is best to discuss them on the article talk page. That allows everyone to see ideas and respond together in one place. I would bring up your proposed changes there to try to achieve consensus. A quick look at the archives show that in this particular case this issue (right-wing) has been discussed at the talk page since at least 2009. I would suggest look through the archives to get a sense of the discussion to date. Capitalismojo (talk) 16:19, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
- As noted, although you finally got round to discussing this in the right place, ie the Fascism talk page, you also posted far too much text there. It's in your own interest, as well as everyone else's, to be concise and focused. You've also now, within a day of posting there, suddenly gone both to the dispute resolution board and the third opinion page. Quite apart from this spreading the issue to even more pages, you should have noted that the former in particular says it is not "a substitute for talk pages. Editors are expected to have had extensive discussion on a talk page (not just through edit summaries) to work out the issues before coming to DRN" while the latter says, "If more than two editors are involved, 3O is not appropriate". Dispute Resolution process[edit]
Hi, quick note. DRN is for resolving serious dispute of content. DRN requires that editors make a substantive and sustained effort on the article talk page before jumping to DRN. That hasn't yet occured. Your jumping this past the talk page to DRN was very premature. I'd especially like if you could review the extensive discussion of this issue at the article talk archives.
