Citations from newspapers.com and ancestry.com

I have personal subscriptions to both of these. I just applied for a subscription to newspapers.com through Wikipedia. My problem is that when I reference a birth or newspaper article from these sources it points to my personal account. I tried clipping the article from newspapers.com and pasting the url for the clipping but it still gives my account. Do you know how to get around this? Same problem with birth records from ancestry.com. Mvitulli (talk) 17:08, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

Mvitulli, I think it's always going to reference the person making the clipping with Newspapers.com. I just use the link and change the article name as appropriate. Megalibrarygirl (talk) 20:26, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
I have come to that conclusion too. The problem is the subscriptions are under my partner's name and ancestry login and she doesn't want her login made public on the web. I applied for access to newspapers.com via Wikipedia. If I am granted access I can log out from our personal subscription to newspapers.com and use my Wikipedia subscription. I supposed I can try to get in via my university library too.
@Mvitulli: I get it now. I hope you can find another way to log in through the library or other methods! Megalibrarygirl (talk) 20:47, 10 April 2021 (UTC)

Help with Florence Veric Hardy Small?

Hi there, I came across this artist (Wikidata link) but I'm trying to figure out if there's enough published material on her to write an article. She has a rather short entry at the Benezit dictionary. For what it's worth I'm open to suggestions on any other figures you think are notable but lack pages, since I'm trying to fill out more biographies in general for Women in Red. I'm looking for a to-do list, in other words. --Anon423 (talk) 22:17, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

I found a little bit in Newspapers.com under "Miss Florence Small" and "Mrs. Deric Hardy." I think she's notable, but it might be close. Right now I'm working mostly on suffragists in the United States. I've found a ton of these women who don't have articles. If you're interested in them, you can see the red links on the "Lists of x suffragists" that I've been working on. Megalibrarygirl (talk) 17:30, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
also...
I must belatedly thank you for your help. For the last month I was rather busy with the meta:WikiGap Challenge and neglected to respond, but I have now created a draft article.--Anon423 (talk) 10:00, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
Anon423, no worries! I totally understand! :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 16:18, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

Question regarding Signpost submission

Hi! I asked Smallbones this on his talk page, but didn't get a response, so figured I'd ask here as well. I've written up a Signpost draft at User:Ganesha811/Signpost draft. I was wondering, for the checklist at the top, which parts are supposed to be done by me and which by other editors. I've added a title, but was unsure if I should go ahead and write a blurb or mark the article as being ready to be copyedited. Thanks for your help. Ganesha811 (talk) 18:38, 18 April 2021 (UTC)

Ganesha811, Hi! if it's ready to be editing, go head and mark it as being ready for copyedit. You might also want to ping Bri as well as Smallbones. Megalibrarygirl (talk) 20:06, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
Megalibrarygirl, thanks! I've marked it and added a blurb. Bri, pinging you as mentioned above. There was one copyediting issue I already had trouble with - getting the attribution for the block quote at the beginning to appear correctly. It's in the source but doesn't appear when the article is viewed. I'm not quite sure how to make it work within the Signpost format. I appreciate the help from both of you, so thanks again. • Okay I've brought this up at the Newsroom. Please be patient as we discuss this and three other pending submissions. ☆ Bri (talk) 21:01, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
Bri, thanks very much. Ganesha811 (talk) 00:08, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

Newspaperarchive.com

Dear Susan Barnum

I saw your name listed among users with access to Newspaperarchive.com. Could you please check if there is an obituary for Ragnvald Sather in the Asbury Park Press of January 6, 1976 (https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/144167032/), and if so, add date/place of death with reference to d:Q106616166? Many thanks in advance. --2A02:587:B946:8D35:6D19:E3CD:620B:9052 (talk) 07:01, 25 April 2021 (UTC)

I realized I could read the OCR text myself without an account, so I think I found the necessary information already. If you somehow get a "cleaner" reference with an account, any "improvement" to the Wikidata reference would be appreciated. Thanks, anyway and sorry for the bother! --2A02:587:B946:8D35:6D19:E3CD:620B:9052 (talk) 07:13, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
Hi! I hope you check back here! I have the clip. It's never a bother to look up stuff for people: I'm a librarian. :) obituary Ragnvald Slather. Megalibrarygirl (talk) 17:20, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
