Welcome to Wikipedia![edit]

Hey, Lucems. I just saw your edits to Babymetal and wanted to welcome you to Wikipedia. It can be frustrating to have your work undone, but that's part of the process of gaining consensus here on Wikipedia (see WP:BRD). I see you're a new editor, so if you have any questions in regards to editing, you can go ahead and ask me directly through my talk page, or seek assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks for all your substantial edits so far! I hope you'll stick around. ArcticSeeress (talk) 07:59, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! First of all I am really sorry for the late reply, I completely missed you comment (is that what it is called here?) and I didn't even realize users have a talk page. Thanks for dropping by and for telling me about the "Teahouse", I was looking for something like that as Wikipedia is rather confusing for me. I do have some questions and would really appreciate any help.
Is the length of the article a consideration while being evaluated for the quality assessment scale?
Does Lovebites (band) have any chance of getting a B rating? Also, what kind of improvements can be made to that article in order for it to qualify for a B rating?
Also, about the Babymetal article, I was reading the Wikipedia guidelines and found this: Wikipedia:Conflicting sources, according to which if there is no academic consensus then all viewpoints should be mentioned instead of choosing one over the other. Does this apply to the Babymetal's description of being an 'idol group' or a 'metal band' since it has been described as both by different publications and music critics? Though I do not wish to pursue any more edits on that article, but I do want to be informed about what exactly are the rules about such things. Lucems (talk) 17:54, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing I wanted to ask, is there any way of getting an article indexed so it appears on search engine results before the 90 days period? Also, is there any way to know if an article has been patrolled? Can I ask someone to patrol my article? Where can I ask for an article to be reviewed for quality assessment scale?
Sorry for asking so many questions, hope I am not being a bother, do tell me if I am, I can always put these on the 'Teahouse' you told me about lol.
Once again thanks for dropping by, and hope you are having a good day! Lucems (talk) 18:01, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started[edit]

Hello, Lucems. Thank you for your work on Hanabie.. User:IceBergYYC, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

This is a very impressive first article, well laid out and illustrated, great work there. The article does require some copyediting, work on neutral POV. as well as additional citations for claims in certain places. I have marked these where I have seen them. Keep up the good work

@IceBergYYC: Hello, hope you are having a nice day. Thank you for the feedback and review, I am new to editing Wikipedia so the markers you left were very helpful to identify the shortcomings of the article. I tried to address most of them.
There was a 'citation needed' template on 'musical style and influences section', I added citations wherever available, and removed claims to which I could not find a notable source. There is no longer any uncited information in that section. Can the template be removed?
There was also another template at the start of the article about the article needing copy editing and being written from a fan POV. The template itself says 'article' but when on edit page I saw the 'section not article' parameter was set to 'y', so I was confused whether the issue was with the whole article or just the introductory section. I rewrote just the section trying to adhere to the NPOV guidelines. I used other articles like U2 as a reference because I was unable to get a complete understanding about the NPOV criteria from the article linked on the template. It will be very helpful if the specific sections which has issues with NPOV can be pointed out if the issues still persist.

Hi, the article looks much better. Good work. There are two current issues remaining, one fairly small, the other a little more important.
  • When starting new paragraphs or sections, the band should not be referred to as They. They should instead be referred to as Hanabie. This is mostly present in the History section.
  • Bare URL's for citations should be avoided at all cost. References 19, 36, and 40 are bare URL's. As well, if possible, reference 36 should be replaced with a citation of the magazine article directly, rather than the band's tweet about said article.
Overall, keep up the good work. IceBergYYC (talk) 17:12, 31 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Cherry Blossoms Are Blooming[edit]

Hello, Lucems,

Thank you for creating Cherry Blossoms Are Blooming.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Good start, but requires some additional sources to demonstrate notability, theres no sources here really discussing the album in any meaningful way.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|IceBergYYC}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Ways to improve Girl's Reform Manifest[edit]

Hello, Lucems,

Thank you for creating Girl's Reform Manifest.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Appears to fail WP:NALBUM, unless more sources can be demonstrated showing WP:SIGCOV of this album, it and Cherry Blossoms Are Blooming should likely be merged and redirected into the main Hanabie. article for now.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|IceBergYYC}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.
