re: Completing a Training - Social Development[edit]

Good job completing our wiki assignment #1 . --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 01:25, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your topic[edit]

While Solidarity (Polish trade union) is an interesting choice, it is already rather long, and properly improving it is not going to be that easy. Particularly given the fact that there is already another relevant subarticle: History of Solidarity covering its history (English Wikipedia just splits history on a separate page; and in fact Polish Wikipedia article is inferior as it uses much fewer references). If you were in Poland and could access some libraries, getting some works that would very useful in expanding this would be easy, but if you are in Korea your access to Polish sources may be limited. I would recommend choosing a different topic. instead, I have the following suggestion for you: I've noticed that Polish Wikipedia is missing the article on pl:Kategoria:Opozycja polityczna w PRL (there is only a category). The topic of pl:Opozycja polityczna w PRL (in English: Dissident movement in the People's Republic of Poland) is notable and needs to be written both in English and Polish. So I'd suggest you try this topic in English for your main project, and you can translate your work to Polish for extra credit. PS. Zawsze milo widziec studenta z AEK, gdzie sam studiowalem, jak byc moze Pani wie :) --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:54, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I find the suggested topic interesting and would like to contribute to its creation/expansion. I would like to decide then on the "Dissident movement in the People's Republic of Poland" as a choice for my main project. Hopefully, I will be able also to translate it to Polish as well. Kind regards - Smarduch Klara PS. Zgadza się, podczas pierwszych zajęć również zauważyłam zbieżność. Także miło spotkać Profesora, który studiował na tej samej uczelni. :) KlaraSma (talk) 04:51, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

re: Completing assignment task - deadline 3[edit]

Good job adding a reference, but to complete the assignment you should do it in a real article. You will still get full credit, don't worry about being late - just try to find unreferenced content in a real article and reference it there. Good luck, --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:04, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

re: Wiki Assignment Deadline 4 - May 3rd[edit]

Good job, it looks like a solid outline. Now time to start writing the article :) --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:59, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I’m Changyu Jung – Social Development Feedback[edit]

Hello, I’m Changyu Jung from the major of Culture Contents, taking Social Development class. I read your article about Dissident movement in the Polish People's Republic. It’s a good one. It was my first time to read something about political movement in Poland and I enjoyed it. When I read your article, I thought more specific information should be added. For example, in the section of ‘Murder of Stanisław Pyjas’, I wondered why he was murdered and why his death affected to many people. I think it would be better if you add some historical backgrounds and more specific words. --Changyu Jung (talk) 07:24, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Feedback on your project for Social Development class[edit]

Dear Klara, my apologies for somehow skipping your article during my review round last week. Here is my feedback fo your project at User:KlaraSma/sandbox. 1) each paragraph and ideally sentence should be referenced with inline citations (footnotes). See for example History of Solidarity. If you are unsure how to add them, please refer to our video on adding references.2) when formatting references, please try to use the Wikipedia:Citation templates. You don't need any code, you can format them in the Visual Editor (again, see the video if this is hard). 3) References should say who is the author, original title, publication date, and so on. So in addition to "Wyborcza.pl". warszawa.wyborcza.pl. Retrieved 2020-05-24. you should add information on title, author and date (Gdy 50 lat temu zdjęto z afisza "Dziady" Dejmka, społeczeństwo zaprotestowało. Pierwsza konfrontacja z władzą komunistyczną w burzliwym 1968 Roku Jerzy S. Majewski 30 stycznia 2018). 4) I encourage you to finish early so we can nominate your article for T:TDYK, I can help you with the process (see also a video I made about how to do it yourself for extra credit) 5) try to add some pictures, you can find many on Wikimedia Commons. Overall, the article is looking pretty good, but I recommend finishing it ASAP, as we are approaching the end of the course. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here

Very well done. I encourage you to submit your work to T:TDYK if you haven't yet, it deserves wider recognition! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:16, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Time travel[edit]

It feels like I just travelled back in time. I remember it all, Zima Stulecia and Popes' visit too. Good job Klara. [1] GizzyCatBella🍁 13:04, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I announced your creation on the Facebook group "pl.wikipedia" and people are impressed and asked for the translation, so I started this on Polish Wikipedia, I encourage you to translate your English article there; even if you don't need extra credit one of the major lessons from our class is that volunteering doesn't have to end with the course :) I am sure many people in Poland would like to read it too. good job! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 02:48, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
