Scooby-Doo Where Are You?

Hi Katniss, I just wondered why you'd changed back the edits on the Scooby-Doo Where Are You Episodes page, as on the Scooby-Doo wiki (another Wikimedia project) and on a DVD containing the classic episodes in order which I own, it has the episodes in the order I put them to. So, where are you getting your information from? I'd like to know please. (Also, I didn't mean to vandalise Wikipedia). Ultimate Being (talk) 19:29, 16 January 2019 (UTC)

Hi Ultimate Being, the Scooby-Doo wiki is not a reliable source because anyone can edit it. The DVD set I own (Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? The Complete Seasons One and Two) shows the episodes in the order they currently are: 2. "Hassle in the Castle", 3. "A Clue for Scooby-Doo"; 14."Spooky Space Kook", 15. "Go Away Ghost Ship". I'm not sure why they would be in a different order than listed on the DVD set I have. Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor 18:23, 18 January 2019 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for letting me know. I did originally think Wikipedia was right and the Scooby-Doo Wiki wasn't'" until I got the DVD. Ultimate Being (talk) 12:33, 19 January 2019 (UTC)

It took a while, but now approved. Will run 01:00 and 13:00 every day, adding (and removing) {{BrokenImage}} as required. Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:49, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

Sounds terrific, Ronhjones. Thanks for taking care of that! Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor 16:23, 21 January 2019 (UTC)

Scooby Doo media

Hi Katniss, thank you for catching my blunder on this article. I just got the permission yesterday. Yesterday, the first time I went in there, I clicked the title on the 33rd row (row # says TBA) and I could have sworn the article for the return to zombie... was there and said July 23, 2019. But today it is not. It's so weird. Anyway, it's my bad, and I will be more careful from now. That second visit I made though, was really screwy. It was only supposed to be one pending revision and then there were other ones that showed up as I was trying to accept just one. If I can't be sure what I'm doing with several pending changes, I'll pass on it and leave it for someone else. dawnleelynn(talk) 17:19, 22 January 2019 (UTC)

Hey dawnleelynn, no worries about the mistake. Don't be discouraged by it and know that we're all still learning. All the best, Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor 01:57, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
Thanks a bunch! I shall persevere. :)) dawnleelynn(talk) 02:18, 23 January 2019 (UTC)

Girl Meets World and DisneyNOW

Do you have access to DisneyNOW? A while ago, the entire series of Girl Meets World (and Good Luck Charlie, for that matter) was added: https://disneynow.go.com/shows/girl-meets-world If so, would you be interested in checking and making sure the credits are correct? I believe MPFitz1968 already verified the guest stars a long time ago. Just trying to verify if there were any writer credits separated out into teleplay by and story by. Back then I used to not include them, because, in my eyes, they were all still writers; however, there's a reason they're separated, so for a long time now, I've been using {{StoryTeleplay|s=|t=}} where applicable so it's exactly per the credits. Amaury (talk | contribs) 15:40, 24 March 2019 (UTC)

@Amaury: For the record, I got the entire GMW series on Amazon (started purchasing the volumes there after Netflix let it go last month). I remember taking care of one of those story/teleplay credits along the way, while watching on Netflix. MPFitz1968 (talk) 16:07, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
@MPFitz1968: So if everything's correct, the only one with teleplay and story is "Girl Meets Money," but that doesn't seem right since you mention multiple with that. Amaury (talk | contribs) 16:13, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
@Amaury: Very possible there are others, but I can't say for sure either way. Will add to my to-do list, to check those credits again. MPFitz1968 (talk) 16:15, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
@Amaury: Hi, I don't have access to DisneyNOW, though I've been wanting to rewatch the series anyways so I will probably purchase them on Amazon. I can check the credits as I'm watching and see if there are any inconsistencies with what's in the article now. Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor 17:57, 25 March 2019 (UTC)

I'm sorry. I don't mean to vandalize Wikipedia with my disruptive edits on Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School (1988). I wanted everyone to know for a fact that this Hanna-Barbera television movie was produced in association with Wang Film Productions, according to the end credits. Wang Film was located in Taipei, Taiwan, and it was best known for carrying out the animation services outsourced not just from Hanna-Barbera, but from other American production companies including The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Animation, MGM Animation, and Universal Animation Studios. Why can't we except the way all the western animation works (motion pictures and television programs) were outsourced to the Japanese, Korean, Filipino and Taiwanese studios, and, if necessary, co-produced with these Asian companies? Why...? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.224.57.136 (talk) 18:18, 29 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi, firstly you didn't provide any source for anything besides the end credits. Just because a film is animated overseas, does not necessarily make it a Taiwanese film. "Wang Film Productions" is listed in the production company space in the infobox, so if people want to read more about it, they can click on the link and do so. There's no reason to say it is a Taiwanese film as well without a source. If you would like to change this information, you will first need to find a source saying that it is an American-Taiwanese co-production. Hey

Hey, thanks for watching out for 'problem editors' on my page - I answered anyway, and posted on another similar editors page, as I've seen this type of promotional naming problem before and it's best to try to stop it up front by explaining the obvious (to most) that this is an encyclopedia and not social media or any other place it would be acceptable. ....but we'll still probably have a lot more issues on Neenah, Wisconsin for the week or until it's protected. Hope your well. Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 17:31, 8 October 2019 (UTC)

Hi KylieTastic, great to hear from you again! Ah, that makes sense, thank you for the explanation there. Upon reading the message it looked like someone was trolling you, as the idea of a random town changing their name to a location from a Dr. Seuss book/film seemed a bit inane. Hope you're well too and that your life has calmed down a bit! Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor 16:35, 11 October 2019 (UTC)

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!
