Peer Review of Wikipedia Article[edit]

Second Language Acquisition: This paragraph is very informative and a good start! Based on the heading I expected to learn more about the process of how you learn the second language. I would try to include and explain this as simply as possible. If there is a diagram that illustrates the process, that might be helpful to clarify. Implications of Bilingualism: I like that you address negative side effects with regards to being bilingual. I would also include examples of how it might help academic performance. Are there cases where people excel? In your emotional and behavioral health paragraph you talk about failure feedback. I understand what you are getting at, but I would reword this sentence or expand on this term. Are there any studies or examples you can provide for your cultural capital paragraph? I found this information very interesting and would like to know a bit more. You do a great job of maintaing a neutral point of view by providing positive and negative examples. I believe you have a great start to your site. It seems very informative. The paragraphs are split up perfectly. It might need a little bit more information in all of your topics, but i like what you have already.

I think it would be interesting to see the college point of view for the bilingualistic person. The positives and benefits.. maybe? This article on Bilingualism is a very interesting one. It clearly lays out the content of the topic in a clear and concise way and is an easy read. It has a great section titled Implications of Bilingualism that gives a real world implication of the topic and states the benefits of being Bilingual. The article uses inline citations well and in all the relevant positions and these citations provide places where further information can be found for follow-up research. I especially like the section about the emotional and behavioral benefits of Bilingualism because it gives the reader an interesting hook into the article, I think this section adds weight to the article because it shows the real world benefits and the importance of acquiring a second language.Sek12 (talk)
