Proposed deletion of Gautam Sharma[edit]

The article Gautam Sharma has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

fails to meet WP:GNG requirements

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 15:01, 1 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gautam Sharma requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom

September 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Gautam Sharma may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s and 2 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
 • he started to modelling. He modeled for the brands like [[Emami] fair&[]handsome]],orbit, coke and many.
 • <ref>{{cite web|url=

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 09:35, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Overlinking[edit]

You have at least twice reverted the removal of overlinking from Gautam Sharma. Adding such unnecessary and irrelevant links back in is becoming disruptive, and continuation of disruptive editing could get you blocked. Rather than inserting irrelevant links, you ought to be trying to find references to demonstrate that the subject of the article is notable in Wikipedia's terms. Without a demonstration of notability, the article is likely to be proposed for deletion. --David Biddulph (talk) 08:04, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Page protection[edit]

You do not get page protection by posting on the article page. You need to go to WP:RPP and make your request there. Please note however, that it is NOT "your" article and every time you click to submit, you are agreeing to the conditions above the text box which say "Work submitted to Wikipedia can be edited, used, and redistributed—by anyone" -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 09:27, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

and note that anyone looking at the history of the article will see a very distinct lack of ANY IP editing, let alone WP:VANDALISM by an IP. Removal of unsourced and inappropriately sourced content abouta living person is NOT vandalism and is in one of the few exceptions to the automatic blocks for edit warring. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 09:34, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Content requires reliably published sources[edit]

Please stop restoring content to Gautam Sharma without providing reliably published sources with a reputation for fact checking, accuracy and editorial oversight. Continually replacing the same bad sources (particularly in an article about a living person) is disruptive and will lead to you getting blocked. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 11:54, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory or otherwise controversial content into an article or any other Wikipedia page. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 12:00, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The content you wish to include in the article has been challenged and may not be restored to the article without an inline citation to a reliably published source with a reputation for fact checking, accuracy and editorial oversight, such as a major newspaper, not blogs, or celebrity gossip sites or content pushed out by PR firms. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 12:27, 3 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright[edit]

Your recent uploads of images at Wikimedia Commons shows that you have a complete misunderstanding of copyright and need to stop dealing with images until you learn more.

Are the minimum required readings for uploading at Wikipedia. The Wikimedia Commons has their own policies with more restrictive limits on what they allow.

Essentially, you may not upload images unless you have personally taken the photo itself (not just downloaded it from some site) or the person who has taken them has specifically and verifiably authorized them for free use. You cannot steal images taken by others and claim that because "there was no copyright posted the image is free to use"; particularly when you steal them from sites like the TOI which specifically DOES claim copyright. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 11:30, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
