Thank you today for the article, "about Sjafruddin Prawiranegara, an Indonesian politician/economist who debatably was the country's head of state for a few months (see Emergency Government of the Republic of Indonesia). A fairly influential person throughout the Sukarno period, and had a big say on Indonesian economic policy 1950-1959. He also led the Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Indonesia after that - his two most notable actions are basically fighting a guerrila war first to conserve the Indonesian government, then fighting another one against it 10 years later."! - Thank you for standing in the tradition of "a certain someone" (who features in my "blushing section), and enjoy your first TFA. We'll watch. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:19, 15 May 2022 (UTC)

Elizabeth line

I wanted to respond to your ITNC comment on the Elizabeth Line nomination. We can only consider what is nominated. If you feel that the opening of a metro line in China merits posting, it is up to you to nominate it. This isn't a deliberate bias; we are only as good as those who make nominations. It's up to editors to make nominations in underserved areas. The Elizabeth line was nominated because it is not just an opening of an ordinary metro line, but the culmination of an extensive infrastructure project that will greatly change transportation in a large metropolitan area(that's not my opinion, but what RS are saying). London did not have a large tunnel underneath and across the city before this. Just saying. 331dot (talk) 09:49, 25 May 2022 (UTC)

I would rather not see ITN become 50% new railway line openings. Juxlos (talk) 09:52, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
I don't think there is any danger of that. My only point really is that we are only as good as the nominations we get. ITN also does not work on precedent, but considers each nomination individually based on coverage in sources. 331dot (talk) 10:04, 25 May 2022 (UTC)
