Double RfA vote[edit]

Hello, Journalist. I was browsing through the RfA nominations and noticed you voted twice in Sam Hocevar's RfA (Both the 3rd and 49th support votes are yours). Was this a mistake? Jaxl | talk 22:49, 28 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it was !!! Im so sorry. I did not realize that I had done that. The thing is, I changed my signature, so when I was browsing the votes, I did not recognise it in its 'common' state, so I voted again. My deepest apologies.

Journalist C./ Holla @ me!

No problem. I was just making sure. I removed the top vote, since I'm assuming you now want to give him strong support. ;) Jaxl | talk 03:18, 29 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you![edit]

Wow, I wasn't expecting that...thank you so much! Coincidentially enough, I was listening to "Vision of Love" when I read your message. Once again, thank you! Extraordinary Machine 18:09, 29 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"Madonna. [...] Her videos are the best"

"Missy Elliot is simply the Best Female Rap artist of all time."

"Mariah carey, The Greatest singer alive"

Here is a recommendation: listen to Ani DiFranco - Pulse. It's 14 mins. I've listened to it all day. Missi's last track on her first album for 30 seconds is good. It's the only thing I like by mr Solaar. To experience real rhythm / flow in rap, get Lil Kim - Not Tonight. Thx. Bai~

PS: Your name sucks, I thought you were a bot.

PSS: Expressing emotion is for poets.

PSSS: Try to survive on E.D.

Barnstar[edit]

Hello and thank you for the barnstar award, it is now added to my main user page. If you are so inclined, please feel free to adjust its presentation. Hall Monitor 22:13, 1 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Debate over singles discography[edit]

Hey, btw, I'm glad you sent me a message regarding my decision. I was hoping that no one would just revert my edits without considering my reason.

Anyway, the reason I've added songs such as 'Bliss', 'After Tonight', and 'Want You' is because they are all technically promo-only 'singles', based on several sites I've looked at such as this. Yes, you may argue that they haven't been commercially released, but so haven't songs such 'Say Somethin' and 'Whenever You Call', yet the existence of their articles are not. They're interesting history shouldn't be the only reason they are included in the discography if promo-only songs (you can look-up and find that actual official promos of these songs exist) such as 'There For Me', 'After Tonight', and 'Till The End of Time' cannot. That is why I suggested (and have currently applied this suggestion) that songs that do not have completed or standard articles, should for the time being not be linked to articles at all. --Grey Pursuit 2 September 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for your support![edit]

Dear Journalist, thanks for your vote of confidance at my RfA. I'll try hard to make the soggy mop proud! — Asbestos | Talk (RFC) 19:19, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for noticing[edit]

Hi. I'm frequenting the Hurricane_Katrina page/s, making small section edits here and there; mostly corrections of typos and such. I also added a link to an article that explains what the three major networks are. I was anonymous first, but then decided that I'd register. Forgot to add that -- Mardus 03:49, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Close your sig[edit]

Your sig has unclosed html tags that bleed into the rest of the page. You need:

at the end of it. Cmouse 05:47, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Hi, just wanted to let you know I've accepted my RFA nomination and answered the questions. --Angr/tɔk mi 15:40, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your support[edit]

Hi Orane, just a quick note to thank you for your support on my RfA. I was pleased to see so much support, especially from people such as you who I do not know very well, if at all. Now that I am an administrator I will do my best to please the community’s expectations. Best regards, Sam Hocevar 17:41, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Hi, Orane; thanks for giving me the welcome to Wikipedia; I see you have such a huge experience in this project, so if I have any doubts, I won't hesitate to ask you. Sweet regards from Spain Gaudio 19:58, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Consideration[edit]

Hey, Journalist, what's going on? I've noticed your edits on the Mariah Carey articles, and I was wondering if you would consider voting [1]. The remixography is an important article (along with the discography and videography pages) that should not be removed. Thanks for your time. OmegaWikipedia 07:11, 4 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the welcome[edit]

The links included were helpfull. A quick question: how do I go about getting constructive criticism on my edits? The PeerReview process is not what I am looking for. Also, does attention signify anything if it appears at the begining of an article, like it does int the Continuity_test article? Thanks again. Adelord 19:10, 5 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

RFA[edit]

Thank you for your input on my RFA. I wish I had been notified before it was listed, as I would have withdrawn it sooner. Either way, I agree with everything you said. It is too soon, and I lack mainspace edits. I predict 500 article edits and 600 Wikipedia edits by the end of October, which is when I'll try running again. So, I hope that I'll be up to standard by then. Acetic'Acid 22:30, September 5, 2005 (UTC)

Oh my God, a bureaucrat? Careful, comments like that make my head expand. Anyway, I appreciate those comments from your "big mouth." :) Wikipedia thrives on the opinions of others, so that orifice of yours is an asset to the community. You shall see me up there again in a few months. (I accidentally typed 'mouths' instead of months). I look forward to your 500,000,000,000% support. :o See ya around. Welcome[edit]

Hey, thanks for the welcome. Is this a bot I'm talking to, a real person, or some twisted hybrid of the two? It's just that the welcome message seemed a little prompt and it does make one wonder.

Take care,

-Ed.

I'm still not convinced. This is the internet and there is such a thing as a turing test.

Just out of interest- do I need to post this reply here, or do you see all responses to your comments on my talk page through some special wiki lens that I have yet to find?

Question about edit summary[edit]

Thanks for your welcome, Journalist. I have a question about an error I made in my edit summary remarks. How do I go about correcting this and rewriting the edit summary? I tried researching and came up with something about a dummy edit, but I couldn't figure out how to do it based on the instructions there. Once again, thanks. Thanks[edit]

Hi Journalist:
Thanks for support and your confidence in me in my recent RFB nomination. I'm now WP's newest bureaucrat. :) Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 20:10, September 6, 2005 (UTC)

Sure will. Know anything about Jamaican cricketers? We're lacking a member from WI in Wikiproject cricket. =Nichalp «Talk»= 20:18, September 6, 2005 (UTC)

Hey, thank you for your support!
