September 2009[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Fucking up everything, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. I42 (talk) 19:42, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy because your account is being used only for spam, advertising, or promotion. "Promotion" is not always done with a financial motivation. This is a non-notable play which has not even been staged yet. What other topics would you plan to write about in Wikipedia? All of your edits so far have been about FUE. --Orange Mike | Talk 16:23, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The play is being shown at the New York Music Theatre Festival in about a month, which makes it, in fact, notable. There has been an extensive background to the conception of the show which is why I want it here in the first place. I would like to edit about NYMF in general and see where it goes from there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeremy FUE (talkcontribs) Jeremy FUE (talkcontribs) has made few or no other edits outside this topic.

A tag has been placed on Fucking up everything, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Wikipedia is a venue for verifiable information from reliable sources about notable topics. This item did not qualify under any of these three characteristics. Your obvious conflict of interest (given your username) didn't help. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:48, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Signing your posts[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:45, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I AM NOT TRYING TO ADVERTISE ANYTHING WITH THIS PAGE, I AM ONLY GIVING A HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE OF WHAT IS HAPPENING. and I am NOT a producer of the show, SO I DO NOT HAVE ANY MONEY TO GAIN FROM THIS. Please actually read what I am saying and consider this.

Decline reason:

While this may be the case, the article you wrote was very biased towards the play, and not written in a neutral tone as we require. You continued to do this after several warnings, and so were blocked. Your username also makes it seem as though you have some relation to the play, which would be a conflict of interest. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

What about it wasn't neutral? I gave a perspective of the show's history. I didn't say if it was good or not. All it was was an outline of what happened to get it to this point. And just because of my username doesn't mean I have a specific affiliation. Maybe I should change my name to Orange Jeremy, but when I created the name I didn't think that would be an issue. I'm just trying to provide information, so please let me do so. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeremy FUE (talkcontribs)
