Orphaned non-free media (Image:Hoover.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hoover.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 13:39, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alas, though[edit]

Hello and welcome (though I see a bot has already yapped at you!). Came across your name while looking at the Categories on Travelers to Russia that you created. Unfortunately, I'm not sure they meet the criteria for inclusion, so I've nominated them to be deleted. Here's the standard message to let you know about this:

Removed cfdnotice, cfd has completed. --Kbdank71 17:40, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

These are the guidelines I was thinking of: Overcategorization of Non-defining or trivial characteristic

If you want to contest the deletion, please feel free to contribute to the discussion there.

Kind regards, and sorry to welcome with a negative notice!, DionysosProteus 15:11, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merging Russian projects into one project - your input requested[edit]

Hi, you are receiving this message as you are a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Russian history. I have made a proposal to merge several Russian related projects into WP:RUSSIA. You can view the proposal at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Russian_history#Proposal_for_overhaul_and_creation_of_a_single_WP:RUSSIA_project. As a member of the Russian history project, your input is requested; so that all editors are reading off the same page please limit discussion to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Russia/Proposal. We all look forward to your input. --Russavia Dialogue Stalk me 10:28, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
