Hello JCRL1993. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Randox, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:JCRL1993. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=JCRL1993|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. SmartSE (talk) 16:00, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Smartse, I am employed by Randox and tried to update our company profile on Wikipedia using cited sources to back-up claims. Admittedly, the first round may have appeared too promotional however, this was not intended and therefore removed as a consequence. I access the Randox page at the minute and have not removed any content and/or citations as these are all legitimate. However, the claims I have made also have reputable sources to back them up, for example, the sponsorships, CSR and more.
I think it unfair to only allow negative information to be posted about a company whenever there is positive news to report. In this respect, if you could please advise how I would best go about getting some of our positive news confirmed on the site this would be much appreciated. Thanks, James JCRL1993 (talk) 16:20, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It is advised that you not edit the article directly. Instead, review the procedure on how to request edits and then post your edit request on the article's talk page, Talk:Randox. This will give other uninvolved editors the opportunity to review your proposed changes and suggest revisions.
I would also advise that you use the {{paid}} template on your userpage (User:JCRL1993) as a visible disclosure of your employment with Randox. Thank you. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:17, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for disclosing. There are numerous problems with your edits - firstly the tone in general is contrary to not using Wikipedia for promotional purposes. It is very rarely appropriate to include CSR and sponsorships in an encyclopedia article about a company. Please make any suggestions for changes on the talk page, and ensure that the information is sourced to secondary, independent, reliable sources. This means that press releases, the randox website and charity websites are not appropriate. I suggest that you start small until you have got the hang of it. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. You have been told repeatedly to suggest changes on the talk page. SmartSE (talk) 14:36, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am confused. By the (talk) page do you mean this area that I am messaging in now? Thanks, James JCRL1993 (talk) 14:46, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Repeating from above - "review the procedure on how to request edits and then post your edit request on the article's talk page, Talk:Randox" SmartSE (talk) 14:59, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Here are some of my suggested changes with reputable sources:
- In relation to Covid-19, Randox were able to successfully deliver 25 million Covid-19 PCR tests. (Source; The Times, url/link = Covid testing lifts Randox Health to £275m profit | Business | The Times , date = 24 June 2022)
- In relation to the growth of Randox - Randox Health have currently 12 diagnostic clinics that provide 12 month health programmes. They are hoping to expand to 20 by the end of 2022. ( Source: Belfast Telegraph JCRL1993 (talk) 15:04, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That is not how to request edits. SmartSE (talk) 15:08, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I requested a few updates over on the talk page 10 days ago and haven't had an update. Do you know when I can expect this by? Thanks :) JCRL1993 (talk) 15:44, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
