great music is hard to find ya know!

Hi. There was a notability/self-promotional problem with it. The article was deleted per WP:BAND. Bands and other musical groups need a very high level of notability beyond a local level. Hope this helps. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:50, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, your work isn't lost. It's still in the servers. Tell you what: I'll undelete it and you go ahead and add some verifiable third-party sources which will substantiate their notability. Myspace and Facebook don't count.  :) Only takes a moment...--PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:59, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK, you're good to go. I really recommend that you use WP:BAND as a guide so that it doesn't get deleted by another administrator. Good luck. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 04:00, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's a good start, yes. Don't worry about it. I know Wikipedia can be frustrating, but take heart in knowing that every keystroke you've saved is retrievable. Also, you can use four tildes to sign and date stamp your entries on talk pages. Just type ~~~~ or hit the little signature box at the top of any page in edit mode. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 04:07, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

January 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Random DJs has been reverted.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bmyspace\.com (links: http://www.myspace.com/sweetymuffintop, http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=34544844).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 08:01, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Random DJs[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Random DJs, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Non-notable group; no evidence of notability

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. You need to follow the guidelines provided in the Guide to writing better articles. The article as it stands has no footnotes; reads like a fansite rather than an encyclopedia article; and doesn't show any evidence that these people are at all notable (and I'm a fanboy myself: spent this weekend at a con, including some time talking to Tom Smith). --Orange Mike | Talk 19:54, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've restored the tags, since you've done nothing to correct the problems. I'm particularly bothered by the insertion of your signature, and the words "pending approval." The subject of an article is not to be relied upon for information, and they certainly have no approval rights to information, if it is properly sourced (MySpace pages do not constitute reliable sources. Please read the links provided for you before editing again. You keep inserting URLs into the text of an article, instead of wikilinks or footnotes as appropriate. --Orange Mike | Talk 01:42, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You should never put your signature into an article, which you did at the places where you'd put "pending approval". Your use of the phrase "our manager" implies that you are a member of this group, which means you shouldn't even be editing an article about them/you, much less creating one, because you have a massive conflict of interest. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:15, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Random DJs[edit]

I have nominated Random DJs, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Random DJs. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
