Feedback Comments![edit]

Hello!

Here's some feedback on your article!

!. Your article is exceptionally well written from what I have gathered, and your utilisation of spelling and grammar is very consistent. Keep up the method and means to recreate this! 2. The majority of your points are quite concise and have a good structure. Be sure to utilise this in other texts and works. But maybe consider referring to a few more articles to get some more clarification on what structure works for the Wiki article and its subject (each different subject changes the format in someway). The length is very even; aside from the summary. I can see why that is necessary but try to maybe shrink it a bit more if you can - but only if you can. 3. All your links and Wikilinks are used quite effectively, but consider adding one to the plot. On the whole, they are utilised very well. 4. You curb any bias or enthusiasm well and make the text very objective. 5. Both negative and positive views are presented. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Incandescent1 (talkcontribs) 11:35, 26 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Skin Books trilogy moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Skin Books trilogy need more citations from reliable, independent sources that cover the subject significantly. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Also, I doubt whether the books are notable per WP:NBOOKS. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi there, I saw your post at the teahouse and thought I would post here as I'm going to go into a bit of detail. It looks like the skin trilogy has been moved not because of COIN issues, but the concern that it isnt "notable" enough. Sometimes that is just what happens when your edits get scrutinised more closely. It can feel like you are being "piled up on" a bit, but basically everyone here is trying to improve articles, and more criticism does make for a better article.
So the best way to deal with that is to get some reliable, independent sources that talk about the book. I found a couple of Kirkus reviews here and here which may help. A quick look through Proquest turned up a few more, which might be enough for notability.
A couple of other things; at present, the synopsis read a bit like book blurb teasers, so possibly a bit promotional in feel. If you're worried about spoilers, see WP:SPOIL. Spoilers are fine. If you have read the books, see MOS:PLOT- Just use the book to describe what happens; just don't put your own interpretation on it.
The themes section- most of this is referenced to pages connected to the author or the books themselves. As editors should only summarise independent reliable sources, you can only consider what those independent reviewers find to be important themes. You can't use your own analysis here; that would stray into WP:OR territory. More reviews would help here. Anyway, I hope this helps. Curdle (talk) 11:45, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User:Curdle Thank you so much for your help and advice, I will try to incorporate them into my contributions from here on. And thank you for making me feel a bit more welcome. GoldVine5 (talk) 19:45, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi GoldVine5, maybe we should combine Draft:Skin Books trilogy and Draft:Skin Books trilogy (2) so there's only one page to work on? Do you want me to take care of that? Richard Nevell (WMUK) (talk) 14:42, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User:Richard Nevell Yes thank you, that would be much appreciated! Not yet fully wiki-literate and wasn't sure how to do it. I believe the most accurate/up-to-date is Draft:Skin Books trilogy (2), thank you.

GoldVine5 (talk) 14:55, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Done. The content is now at Draft:Skin Books trilogy and if you try to go to Draft:Skin Books trilogy (2) instead it will forward you to the other page. Richard Nevell (WMUK) (talk) 19:29, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
