Persistent vandal (hand-off, if you don't mind)

Hi there: I've reached the end of my patience with an IP vandal who has added a speedy deletion tag to Jockstrap nine times now. He apparently wants the article titled Athletic supporter. I blocked User:68.96.192.118 and he immediately popped up at User:63.3.3.2. I've now protected the page against editing by unregistered users -- which may drive him to registration. I'd appreciate it if you would keep an eye on this page... I'm not asking you to agree with me about whether or not his tagging is appropriate, of course, you must do what you think is best, but I will suggest that if deletion is required, it's not a case for a speedy tag. By the way, on an unrelated matter, I was invited by another vandal to stick African goldfish up my ass today. That's the most creative one I've had in a while. You? Re:The Original Second RFA

On it was indeed a second RFA. It was a self-nom that I decided I did not want as I knew that I shouldn't and that I was not ready for. It was wrong to write it, as I should have done so in a subpage. I wrote it as a way to see what I knew about myself and about the process. I should not have put it up, and it was a total mistake. If people ask to see it, I would gladly let them. I did not want it. That should answer your first question. If you would put the contents of what was there on this page I would be grateful to you. Regarding my last edit

You stated my edit was inaccurate, how could that be so when all I merely did was change the tense of the wording and removed information that is not necessary anymore? The information before states Adult Swim is still being broadcasted on Australia and New Zealand channels but it isn't. Tim Shell

I feel your closure of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tim Shell (second nomination) was not appropriate, as it is backed by neither policy nor consensus. Closing it as no consensus would have been acceptable (do you assert there was consensus to keep?), as would relisting it to see if consensus will emerge. But closing it with the comment "Keep, clearly notable" is substituting your own viewpoint for the result of the discussion.

Furthermore, my nomination spelled out quite clearly how Shell is not clearly notable; stating he is "clearly notable" with no elaboration doesn't exactly stand up as an argument. Do you see anything which establishes his notability, save unsubstantiated assertions that being CEO of a company with an article makes you automatically notable? Neither do I. So, I request you either close it as lacking consensus or reopen so you can vote keep. Thanks, Picaroon (t) 23:38, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

LOL they usually involve dirty water, but first hello and Happy New Year GlassCobra. Let me begin by saying; “… thank you” very much for the compliment. However, I would respectfully say no to your nomination of me as an administrator for several reasons. First, I have been involved with several Rfa’s and to be honest, I would not put myself through what those guys/gals have put-up with regarding comments and fault finding. The second reason is even more selfish, I actually enjoy editing here at Wikipedia and just editing. I enjoy being the autonomist editor, in that I actually have, in a lot of cases, more freedom than you, the overworked administrators. I'm new to all of this wikipedia stuff...although I love the concept it can get frustrating at times, so maybe you can help me with something: I went to the Toronto Raptors page and made some changes (that just sounded better grammatically and flowed better) and within MINUTES someone went and put the page back. Dear GlassCobra, my sincere thanks for your support in my second request for adminship, which ended with 113 supports, 11 opposes, and 4 neutral. I would especially like to thank my admin coach and nominator, Rlevse and Ryan Postlethwaite who in addition to Ioeth all inspired me to run for a second candidacy. I would also like to make a special mention to Phoenix-wiki, Dihyrdogen Monoxide and OhanaUnited who all offered to do co-nominations, but I unfortunately had to decline. I had all these funny ideas that it would fail again, and I was prepared for the worst, but at least it showed that the community really does have something other places don't. Who would have though Gmail would have been so effective? 32 emails in one week! (Even if it does classify some as junk :P) I'm glad that I've been appointed after a nail biting and some might call, decision changing RFA, but if you ever need anything, just get in touch. I have recently posted an article about Go2Web20 in this section it was deleted I have added this article because I believe this is a very important source for information for anybody researching web2 companies (like me) I am trying to learn how improve it and add the additional significance to the page, but I can't find the page I wrote before should I rewrite and repost it?

I was also trying to not write anything that might sounds like a commercial, as I don't think Wikipedia is the place for it

I totally forgot to thank you for the invitation, which is even more poignant because I've been slouching around the house in my bathrobe for four days with a terrible cold/flu. Given the virulence of some of my detractors who don't appreciate it when I delete the page about the greatest band/website/YouTube content/spammy company/girlfriend/gay guy in the world, I'm concerned about putting my face prominently to be associated with my nick -- but I am going to get TWO photos taken, one really secretive one that just shows the back of my head (above my bathrobe, of course) to post, and one that I'll send around privately. Frankly, I have the greatest bathrobe in the world; from Versace, it's the thickest bathrobe you've ever felt in your life, and I have -- get this -- determined to be buried in it. You're right, of course, but I've decided in the interim that I'm just being a wuss.
