Re: Producer duo[edit]

Hello again Gaellef

Just following up regarding your last few contributions. Please understand, when drastic edits are made without any references on wiki, the system (like bots) and other users take it as vandalism, so just that's why there may be some reversions.

In reference to your "producer duo" edits, to be honest (from a fan's perspective), it feels a bit forced and doesn't come off natural. Only because at one point and time, Jungle did include a group dynamic that was publicly perceived as "a band", which they weren't too quick to clarify or correct in media. I say that in contrast to a Tame Impala, who performs as a band but is very clear and direct that he's the sole creator of that project.

I believe if the rest of that group wasn't as heavily promoted along w/ J. Lloyd & T and only present during live performances, this confusion might've been avoided. Also for the Template:Infobox musical artist, artists are only listed as "solo_singer" or "group_or _band" (even if they are a duo) otherwise it messes up the pages' coding parameters.

I finessed the introduction by referring to them as "musical project by producers" than a "producer duo" so it's more digestible and helped to clean up the page by removing the rest of the group from the main infobox and adding a member section to differentiate between J.Lloyd, T and the touring members.

If that group is no longer associated w/ Jungle, best to wait till it's public knowledge before changing. I also added a new profile picture from AWAL website. I'm not sure if that's the one you were fixing to put but feel free to change if so.

I'm still working from home these days, I like to edit wikis during my free time for fun. I'm just glad to help if I can and am very much looking forward to this new album.

cheers,

Re: Jungle[edit]

Hello Gaellef

Thanks for the response and clarification. If you're apart of their management, then that's a different story.

I'm generally familiar with J.Lloyd and T's history. In that with their roles in "Jungle", they both serve as the songwriters, producers and overall creative directors, while hiring members from their previous project, "Born Blonde" and back-up vocalists, Rudi Salmon and Andro Cowperthwaite to fill out their backing band when they perform live.

When they revealed their identities before the first album, they did present themselves promotionally as a pair. It seems once said album was released and they began touring, the perception given (in my opinion) began to expand that, they we're actually some sort of a multimedia collective due to J.Lloyd's involvement with JFC Worldwide and the lot of choreographed music videos while the music acted as the catalyst behind everything.

In addition, with the backing members being featured within promotional photos, live studio performances and two of the music videos ("Happy Man" and "House in LA" respectively) alongside J.Lloyd and T, I don't think they can really blame the general public for coming to that conclusion. Especially, when the image given off in that moment in time, was they were a band. To quote, even they referred to themselves as a group at one point:

"It’s about being in a collective and collective energy".

If they're switching up for this new album and only presenting the audience themselves, it's best to just refer to Jungle as a "musical project" than a "production duo" as the latter doesn't really grasp the scope of what they've become and is more designated for groups that actually perform solely as a duo like a Disclosure as an example.

The main thing from your edits that bothered me was, it just felt like you were whitewashing that group from the project's history. Even if they weren't considered "official" members, that line-up has been very consistent over the years and should still be acknowledged as touring members and the contributions made on recordings.

I think once the album begins to rollout, you'll have a bit more luck. Much thanks for reaching out directly.
