Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thanks for uploading Image:La Salle -Letran Riot.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

Hi!

The image I had uploaded was the article I used to edit the La Salle-Letran Rivalry. It was a newspaper article published way back 1980 by the Daily Express. However, said newspaper is already non existent. I was able to download it from a micro film in a local library.

Dear Mr. Howard the Duck,

There were again edits on the Letran-La Salle rivalry part of the NCAA. I have supplied you with a source that was neutral-meaning not from any of the two protagonist schools. But someone in Wikipedia kept on ramming what came from Green Archer.net which is a official De La Salle newsletter/magazine.

Of course being an official school newspaper/magazine, it would only site instances favaorable to themselves.

AS I had sent you a copy of the Sunday Express that covered the "riot". It was 5 burly men who had beaten up a Letran Student.

Back then there were chicken wire mesh seperating the sections of each school scheduled to play at the Rizal Memorial Colesium to avoid fights among the fans. There was a clear seperation at that time between La Salle (north side) and Letran (South side). This was also noted in the newspaper clippings I have sent.

Believe me, no one will dare wander off to the "wrong" side of the coliseum during the games. Most specially with GA.net reporting that "it was La Salle students who ganged up on a high school from Letran" in the "South side of the Coliseum-Letran side"? Those La Salle student wouldn't have survived!

We wouldn't want a revisionist attitude like the Japanese wouldn't we? History is past and it records everything. I'd like to put said revision under protest since it violates the "unbiased" part.--Frnndzr 20:41, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Howard, I had just uploaded the image of the Sunday Express (a Sunday edition of the Philippine Express -now defunct) that covers the story of the riot. Hope you get to see this one.

Repeating "burly" and "Cojuanco-controlled" is for emphasis only. You should have read the earlier edits made by someboday else- repeating "climax" twice!

Whether you like it or not, someone is indeed masaging history. But I still believe in the old adage-"The truth shall set you free". You've done a heck of a job compressing the whole view of the incident and what happened thereafter- it's a compliment. Will try to see if there is still a way to shorten it without benefitting any of the party.

Am not sure on the date of DLS announcement of withdrawal, but I did see the actual article. Will check when I have the time again and let you know.

The newspaper is formerly owned by the Benedictos and currently defunct. But it is the source of the editing at the la salle-letran rivalry and it is an unbiased source since it did not come from either protagonist.
