Wingmakers[edit]

There are literally millions of websites on the Internet in English alone; not all of them are notable enough to have articles about them in an encyclopedia. Least of all do we need "articles" which amount to advertisements for somebody's "experiment in mythmaking" which has no evidence of notability. --Orange Mike | Talk 12:49, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chatrooms, forums and fansites are among the most definitive species of non-reliable sources. What is needed for evidence of notability is substantial coverage by independent, impartial third-party sources. Has there been anything written about this stuff in Wired? Or the Rolling Stone? Or Salon.com? Or the International Herald-Tribune? (Just to pick some random examples of reliable sources.) --Orange Mike | Talk 12:59, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
