Speedy deletion of Electric Pinwheels LLC[edit]

A tag has been placed on Electric Pinwheels LLC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Victor Lopes (talk) 21:16, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The language is promotional and biased; there is even a "contact us for further information" at the end of it. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:11, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Electric Pinwheels LLC, and Subsequent Blocking of my User account[edit]

Geez, is there any Wiki policy that I havn't violated? While all this happened so quickly and seems so harsh, upon further reading the myriad of Wiki policies I can now see where I went so horribly wrong. Before posting, I tried reading through the FAQ's and didn't run across some of the more important policies. Are first-time posters expected to know everything or they'll get thrown out like this without so much as a warning? The biggest mistake I made was to copy my company profile from another Wiki site that had a set outline, which included sections that were specifically prohibited by Wikipedia. OK, now I know. I guess so many people put up so much garbage that it has to be dealt with swiftly and firmly. And according to a longer study of Wikipedia policies, I put up garbage and accept the consequences. I'll politely delete this account, and hope for someone to write a more compliant page about my company at some point in the future.

If and when the company becomes genuinely notable, somebody else without a conflict of interest will say, "Why isn't this notable firm in Wikipedia?" and write one. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:35, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
