Speedy deletion of Brainify[edit]

A tag has been placed on Brainify requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Murray Goldberg doesn't seem to be notable enough for an article to have been written about him yet. (I'm not saying such an article would be inappropriate.) Understood Mike - however, the site itself IS still noteworthy to the educational technology community. As evidence of that, the moment it was launched it was covered by the "Chronicle of Higher Education". The Chronicle is the "New York Times" of the higher education world. It is highly unusual for a new website to be covered, but it *was* covered due to the significance of the site. The article is here Artcile. The creator may not be sufficient criteria for notability - but should lend evidence to its notability. The article in the chronicle is direct evidence. OK - thanks Mike. I found a bunch of articles written about it on the site itself and will add those as references. I'll also make any other changes I can think of to illustrate significance. Once I am done - how do I connect with you to ask for your feedback? Do I just type a message here?

Hey again Mike. OK - I have edited and tried to show significance by:

citing a number of the articles that have been written about it. Most are student university newspapers - who obviously consider it signifincant
indicating that members from 200 institutions had joined within days of its launch (which hopefully speaks to its significance)
I have also also cited one source of criticism and one source of approval for Brainify being limited to university and college members.

One other point of significance is that the member-ownership aspect of Brainify is receiving a lot of attention and being discussed reasonably widely in blogs and the press. I could include information on that if you think it speaks to its significance. Let me know.
