Re:RaiseAChild.US[edit]

Hello, thanks for your comment! You're exactly right about the PRWeb sources - it's great that your trying to be thorough with your documentation, but keep in mind the golden rule when considering what sources to add.

Other than that, the main issue is the tone of the article, which needs to be kept encyclopedic. For example, phrases like "The need for safe and loving homes for children is at a crisis level in the United States" and "Many private and governmental child welfare agencies are eager to work with LGBT families who wish to foster or adopt" are probably true, but you probably wouldn't see them in a neutral description of the organization. Try either rewording these to make them more neutral or putting them in someone else's words, something like "According to so-and-so, the need is at a crisis level."

The section about the founders is actually pretty good - I'm looking more at the "advocacy" and "activities" sections. Great job on this though, and I look forward to working with you to get it accepted! --Cerebellum (talk) 14:52, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I went through and decapitalized the section headers (see MOS:HEAD) and also removed some external links from the article text - links should not normally be used in the body of the article (Wikipedia:External links). Could you look at the lead section and either change the rest of the external links to references or move them to the external links section? Also, consider replacing your table with an infobox such as Template:Infobox non-profit. Cheers, --Cerebellum (talk) 15:01, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent work! I would encourage you to resubmit the article for review, in my opinion it is ready. --Cerebellum (talk) 20:46, 14 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there, you did exactly the right thing, but there is a large backlog of articles waiting to be reviewed right now so it may be some time before someone gets to yours. I am sorry for the wait. --Cerebellum (talk) 02:17, 13 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:RaiseAChild.US small logo.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:RaiseAChild.US small logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. I'm hoping Chris or another editor will read my note here. I have been trying to upload a logo and a photograph to the RaiseAChild.US Wiki page, with no luck. I obtained these two images from the media director so there is no copyright problem. However, when I tried to upload the logo, it came out on a separate page. Then I tried to upload a smaller version of it and got stuck in the copyright issues. Any advice would be appreciated. Editor.corlight (talk) 20:56, 17 December 2012 (UTC)Editor.corlight[reply]
