May 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Chancellor's School do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, |left|48px|]] A tag has been placed on Your New Heart requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. DrummerMike (talk) 20:03, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Michael Barrie[edit]

A tag has been placed on Michael Barrie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Ucould drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 14:52, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Recreation of deleted material[edit]

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. Posting a deleted autobiographical vanity "article" as your userpage, while still leaving it formatted as a Wikipedia article, is not acceptable. I do not currently empathise with your decision of deleting and blocking me from editing and would strongly like you to reconsider|decline=WP:CHILD is enough of a reason to not unblock this user. Toddst1 (talk) 22:31, 4 November 2008 (UTC) }}[reply]

I apparently edit-conflicted with Toddst1 (although I did not receive an EC warning, odd). I had declined also, for the record with the following reason: "You have spent the majority of your time here on Wikipedia using server resources to promote yourself as a drummer - creating personal article space pages, band pages, etc. Your user page is a small part of why you were blocked - you need to acknowledge that you were self-promoting, agree to cease all self-promotional activity, and assure us you will become a contributor to Wikipedia within its policies. Your unblock request addresses none of this, and instead is a disingenuous attempt to paint yourself in blameless light." Tan | 39 22:45, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock|I was unaware of the fact that I was using my user page to advertise; for that, I apoligise. I did not intend to welcome Wiki users to go on MySpace and etc. As you can see on my contributions, I have written significant articles that I thought would bode well for Wikipedia's quantity of articles. Please accept my apology and that I will additionally stop my blatancy with advertising and will not promote myself. I will continue to contribute to Wikipedia within it's guidelines.}} --Mike16:57, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have contacted the admin that blocked you, notifying him of your above request. Please be patient while we await his response before acting... --Jayron32.talk.[[Special:Contributions/---------------247482455520604

You are dead to me...[edit]

I went out on a limb for you, and the first thing you do upon being unblocked is to delete a large section of the userpage of the person who blocked you: [1]. This is unacceptable. I put my trust in you and went out on a limb for you, and this is the good behavior you promised me?!? I am reinstating your block.
