Anthony Czarnik discussion[edit]

Hi DrIlyaTsyrlov. Please don't add new comments to an already archived discussion like you did here. Follow the instructions given at the top of Wikipedia:Media copyright questions/Archive/2021/February and start a nw discussion at WP:MCQ. If you want to make reference to a previous discussion, then just provide a link to in the new discussion you start which in this case would be Wikipedia:Media copyright questions/Archive/2021/February#Book cover for Anthony Czarnik.

In response to your question, I still don't see anything in the Czarnik article that would justify the use of a non-free book cover in that article; however, if you feel that the book meets WP:NBOOK and thus a stand-alone article can be written about it, then it would most likely be acceptable to use an image of the book's cover in the main infobox or at the top of such an article for primary indentification purposes.

Whether others will also feel the book is Wikipedia notable in its own right, I can't say one way or another. If you'd like input from editors who have experience with articles about books, try asking at WT:BOOKS since there's a good chance that's where you'll find such editors. You can of course simply go ahead and try and create an article about the book if you want by first creating a WP:DRAFT and then WP:MOVING it to the WP:MAINSPACE yourself, but I suggest submitting it to WP:AFC for review instead. Anytime something is added to the mainspace, it's there for anyone anywhere to edit at anytime; this means someone might try to improve the aricle, but it also means that they might WP:DRAFTIFY it, WP:REDIRECT it, WP:MERGE it or even WP:AFD it if they feel there's simply not enough to support a stand-alone article. Submitting a draft to AFC won't ensure that some of those other things will never happen, but AFC reviewers tend to be experienced editors who have a good grasp of WP:N; in other words, they don't typically approve drafts if they feel there's no reasonable claim of Wikipedia notablity.

If you do decide to try and create an article about the book, please wait until you have done so before uploading any non-free files to use in it. Non-free content can't be used in drafts per WP:NFCC#9 and WP:DRAFTS#Preparing drafts; so, if you try to add a non-free to a draft, it will just end up being removed and most likely deleted per WP:F5. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:13, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Favored Nations (nonprofit), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
