Draft:Jeffery T. Kite-Powell[edit]

Hi Delta30061972. Do you have any type of personal or professional connection to Jeffery T. Kite-Powell? If you do, then you probably should take a close look at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest to familiarize yourself with relevant Wikipedia policies and guidelines related to such things. If you do have such a connection, the more transparent you're about it, the less likely you're going to find yourself running into problems later on with respect to editing or creating any Wikipedia content about Kite-Powell. It'll also make it easier for others to help you if, by chance, you do start having problems. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask them below or at a noticeboard like the Wikipedia Teahouse and someone will try and help you.

In addition, you also uploaded some photos of Kite-Powell to use in the draft. You stated that you were given permission to use these photos, but that's not really sufficient for Wikimedia Commmons purposes. Bascially, the copyright holders of the photos have to agree to give their permission to everyone everywhere in the world to download the photos at anytime and use for any purpose. The types of licenses that Commons accepts don't allow restrictions such as "for Wikipedia use only", "for educational use only", "for Delta30061972's use only", etc. I've added some information about this to c:User talk:Delta30061972; so, please look at it. If you have any questions about the images feel free to ask them your Commons user talk page. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:52, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feed back and information as I stumble and bumble my way along. I just went ahead and removed the photo's from the article and marked them for deletion. It's not worth the trouble to me right now to go through a documentation process. It's a shame since those photos are used in many other places on the internet not to mention the abundance of youtube videos that he appears in. Maybe someone else will come along and provide usable photos in time. Thanks again Delta30061972 (talk) 09:18, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Praetorius scholars indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! I created this category, for a draft article I created that is awaiting review, not realizing it would appear/be empty until that article is published.. That said, while reviewing this comment, I realized the category should be removed because there is another composer of the same last name that will cause a conflict. I didn't realize this at the time of creation. I will wait until my article is out of the review stage before creating a category for Michael Paetorius scholars. In the meantime, I will place a deletion request for this category to help reduce any delays in it's deletion and prevent others from others using it.
