A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Deanjones12, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. September 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Whpq. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to RetailMeNot have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 14:47, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

sorry to say that i have seen in the last of article there is one section where already have 2 website mention which are similar to retail me not so i just added one more website which are similar to retail me not or other website. So i think so there is nothing to advertising or using Wikipedia as a soap boxes. If adding link is a advertising then why other 2 website are still showing in page similar sites section Deanjones12 (talk) 04:14, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Those links have been removed as well. Tollens (talk) 04:16, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
but i think so this is not the right way if some one suggest any similar site is it good for reference what should we can do if we have any reference website or similar site where we can add them? i have shoppingspout.us how I can add this to retail me not page because this website also providing same services Deanjones12 (talk) 04:35, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You can't. That's not what Wikipedia is for. Tollens (talk) 05:03, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Cashback website. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 05:10, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

i don't have added my own website. i just found cash back Wikipedia page and add random website which are providing cashback services Deanjones12 (talk) 05:15, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That is not true. In this edit you specifically state that you are from the company whose site you added. Tollens (talk) 05:17, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
this is not my own company and also i am not from these company. These website are coupon based and providing cash back services. my own website is thecustompackaging.com and we are start working on coupons to give discount to our customers so i just try to add shopping spout just because if this one is successfully added then i will add also mine because i have seen there is a lot of articles on cash back and coupons and the companies which are providing coupons services. so this is the reason i ma adding shopping spout and hide my personal website at this time.
